Front desk staff is always friendly and greets us with a smile. The first person who does the x rays, and cleanings is always so respectful, kind and calming. Today the woman showed my 10 year old all of his teeth that are coming in, asked him about school, his teachers, his hair, all sorts of things to keep him calm and engaged. The main dentist is super nice also (we don’t see him as much but when we do, he’s great). My 12 year old went in last year for fillings, he has sensory issues and an extreme fear of drills, they did great soothing him, taking their time and not making him feel bad or rushed. My wife loves it there. I would rate a 15 out of 10 for pediatric care!

Because of the Medicare Value Plus HMO that I have covers absolutely minimal dental, I have to use another program as well. This means that I have to use two dentists which I’ve never ever had to do in 70 years. It makes me have twinges of disloyalty. I looked for good feedback from my network of friends living in this area. Dr Sean came with a great recommendation of skill and care. I stopped by to do a meet and greet with the staff. Jenna and Amber were two that I had dealings with. Both were gracious, helpful, and professional. The office is very clean and gave you a sense of being safe during this pandemic due to everyone’s concern for patient safety. Today, after several weeks, I just went for my real appointment since Dr Sean will be providing all normal routine dental care. His assistant, Chandy, immediately made me feel comfortable and welcome, asking the necessary questions and listening carefully. I never felt rushed. Next to appear was Becca, the hygienist. She did all of the preliminary checks and charting of tooth measurements. The two women again were very professional and accommodating. They worked very well together. So far, Dr Sean has an excellent staff of professional and caring people, who interject appropriate humor to make you feel very comfortable. Dr Sean entered with a disarming demeanor. I don’t have a fear of dentists or dental offices at all. But his approach would have disarmed anyone who had that fear. He checked everything without having to run additional X-rays, which he could have done. He prescribed minimal procedures. Again, he was friendly, and made me feel very comfortable. He gave me the treatment program to pre clear with my people before scheduling the work. Chandy answered questions for me since this was the first time I was going through the process. Kortney at the front desk explained the insurance discounts and handled the pre approval protocols. She was thorough and helpful, making me feel secure in what needed to be done and who was going to have to do it. She fit right in with the caliber of the office staff. I feel that I made the best choice for a dentist. But the staff makes my choice and the experience complete. Well done! I would highly recommend this entire staff, from Dr Sean to his support crew..

Relative newcomer to Oregon; moved here to
Salem SE (4) years ago with my wife. Came
to Smile Care Center for dental work which is
really needed. I thank their employees from
check-in to those helping Dr Hanson for their
patience and understanding of someone who
is nervous and somewhat embarrassed for
neglecting his personal dental care.
The options and detailed explanations for
what needs to be done are courteous, very
professional, leaving me at ease during my
appointment time there.
The 5-star rating is based on my experience
one-on-one, and how I feel when leaving the
Smile Care Center: upbeat and confident that
soon, the smile I once had, will return

Part of my progress in reshaping teeth and
dental health. Kudos again to Dr Hanson
plus super staff for their knowledge, skill
set in assisting Dr Hanson. Everyone still
so friendly, upbeat leaving me with good
vibes following appointment. 😁🌺
UPDATE: January 6, 2022
I have had lower partial plate several months
now. Took some getting used to something
other than one's natural teeth, but everything
is fine now.
My appt today was for teeth cleaning and it
was good experience. The ladies know their
"stuff" and answer questions w/o hesitation
or have Dr Hanson come in person.
Everyone is friendly and helpful. Always feel
at ease each time I have an appt.

This is a great dental office. I got my Invisalign done here too and it really helped relieve my TMJ/TMD symptoms. The staff and dentist are very nice and patient, plus they always bill insurance properly. I moved to Portland, but still drive down to Salem to keep them as my dentist because they are so good.
