Dr. Mercer and the staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. They make you feel comfortable, make sure that you understand any procedure before its performed, give you time to ask questions and just overall make the experience very easy and pleasant. My cleaning was very thorough and the procedure to remove two cavities was quick and painless. I have never received better care than I have at this office.

Just moved to Knoxville a year ago and needed to find a dentist for my son and I. Loved this amazing staff, so thorough, informative and friendly. Really made my son and I feel like we had been coming for years. Dr. Mercer was so kind and did not hesitate to answer my questions, took his time with explaining any procedures needed. I had never been to a dentist until I came here as it wasn’t really an option for me until recently.
As time went on the anxiety level anxiety associated with the thought of going increased with time.
They really put me at ease, and seem actually interested in helping me. Jessica really helped me feel comfortable, walked me through everything to help me understand what was going on, and patiently answered all my questions.
Dr. Mercer came in next. He was very kind, asked me if I had any concerns and helped me put a plan together to get where I need to be.
The lady at the front desk was very helpful as well. I didn’t catch her name and I feel bad about that.
She helped me schedule my future appointments very quickly and got me an appointment with an oral surgeon before I even left my first appointment.
I’d recommend these people to anyone, especially if you haven’t been in a while and the thought of going to the dentist is on par anxiety wise with jumping out of an airplane sans parachute into a lion cage wearing nothing but a zebra costume. Two thumbs up.

Mr Barbee and the entire staff are wonderful. If you have fears or anxiety about going to the dentist, I highly recommend this awesome dental team. They are kind, gentle, patient, understanding and friendly and very positive. I felt so comfortable with every staff member. As I was filling out first visit paperwork I noticed that the receptionist called patients by name as they came into the office. It was a very welcoming environment. I was in need of more advanced dental care for a root canal and what I appreciated was that Dr Barbee recommended a specialist and his staff was willing and prepared to help schedule the necessary appointment. I truly felt cared for and I felt confident I was getting the care I needed. If you are looking for experienced care along with a peaceful and friendly team, this is your new dental office.

He goes beyond the average dental care by incorporating the latest research on how good dental care affects your overall health and well being! He takes the time to educate the patient which allows one to be more proactive with his/her own dental care!
He and his entire staff are so accommodating, I actually look forward to going to the Dentist!
