I’m anxious of the dentist and was nervous about Abbeville being not trustworthy. I feel like dentistry is an industry where it’s easy to say “oh, you have x,y,z, issues that we need to fix” to make money because we can’t see the inside of our mouths. I’ve been a patient of Abbeville’s for about 2 years since coming to Lubbock for school. I have found that they are reasonable and I trust them to tell me what issues I have. They can get you in very quickly and the staff is so sweet. I have loved both hygienists that I have had, and the dentists. I had Dr. Wilkins today and he was professional and very comforting and answered a ton of questions that I had.

The front desk people are not professional at all. My husband and I had appointments together, and we came with our kids. They told us that we can’t take the kids inside nor leave them in the front office lonely which we TOTALLY UNDERSTAND, however they can see one of us at a time. After my husband waited for almost 2 hours for me to have a cleaning, they said that they can’t take him today anymore because he is late and he needs to reschedule his appointment. When he talked to them their excuses were that because we came late (but we did not) and they are so busy for that day.

Honestly, this was the worst experience I've ever had going to the dentist. I'm a college student at Tech and have gone to this place twice. The first time I was told I had two cavities and let them fill them. I go back 6 months later and I'm informed that I have 2 more cavities. Not only that but they messed up the first time. To make matters worse the hygienist cleaning my teeth kept stabbing my gums. By the time she started flossing I was bleeding!!! After that I decided to go home to the dentist I've been going to for over 10 years. He told me I had zero cavities and good teeth. So, obviously this dentistry is only looking to make as much money as they can off their customers. The "2 cavities" I supposedly had were non-existent. I would not recommend this place at all! You are better off anywhere else.

I was NOT happy that I had 3 cavities and I was very nervous about having work done. Dr. Wilkins was very patient and nice. The work he performed was excellent. I appreciate the way I was taken care of.

Don’t go to this place. They just want to make money, that’s all. They make the appointments so tight for each patient, so that you may be asked to leave even your treatment has not completed yet or they will treat you in a rush way but the stains were still there on your teeth. They did the deep cleaning for me 3 weeks ago and my upper teeth were cleaned during the first appointment, the hygienist just used the manual tool to clean my teeth, even didn’t use the ultrasound to do general clean for my teeth. I found the stains were still there inside of my teeth when I got home. In conclusion, I spent $200 for the deep cleaning, and got a result that even not good as that from normal clean. The hygienist could do a better job if she got enough tie for each patient.

Tabitha and Jessica at front desk are always so cheerful when answering the phones! Dr. Wilkins is awesome and so sweet and caring!
