Stay away from this place. How does a place set you up for a tooth extraction then when you get there they tell you no we going to do other stuff we can't extract your tooth cause no one is here to do this procedure on you. Well why would you set me up for an appt for this.

I would love to leave a 5 Star for this business but that’s not possible at this time. I do not want to just give up on this office just yet so I want. I can see very easily what the issue is with my particular issue. This office is too over booked. If it take a new patient 15 days to be seems post op for a reline then it’s over booked. If you are at your appointment with the Dental Assistant and the Admin walks in twice trying to get the next patient in that room your in, it’s over booked. If this happened 1 time not an issue but when it happens twice with two different Dental Assistants with two different Admins then there is a problem that needs to be resolved before the Dr’s work is over shadowed by bookings. Trying to keep an open mind but that window is closing more and more each day.

I paid $3,000 for these dentures. I was told they were like new shoes and you have to break them in. I have been waiting but have sores on my gums so I called for an adjustment and was told it would be two weeks before I could be seen! That is a totally unacceptable. I am very un happy with the office and their practices.

I had severe anxiety, and was afraid I was not going to be able to go through with the whole extraction process. The dentist I had was very friendly, and got all my teeth out. I had 3 done each time. She was the best.

I've been going here for about two years or so, and recently had to just give up on this place. At first, everything was great, and I liked the dentist and hygenist I first saw. I'm overdue for a cleaning by 6 months because they cancelled my appointment twice and wouldn't reschedule it sooner than two months out. I finally gave up after the second cancellation and decided to go somewhere else better staffed. I'm also going through Invisalign at the moment, so I can't entirely leave. It bothers me that they never seem to know where I am in the process, just very impersonal and annoying to have to re-explain myself when I come in so often. I even got shown the start video when I had come in to get my refinement trays, so like near the end of the process. It's just weird and the assistants and new dentist don't seem to know what's going on anymore.

Really sad with this practice from start to finish. They did not care about me at all. I went in to get my last trays for Invisalign today. Note my bottom teeth shifted as I waited a month in a half to get my last set of trays. I let the dentist know that I would like for them to fix them since I waited so long. She said I would have to pay for Invisalign again since they already sent in for my last tray. Why would I pay for something that wasn’t done correctly in the first place? I let her know I wore my trays while I waited and it’s not my fault they shifted back into place since they took the attachments off. She said it wasn’t their fault and if I wanted it fixed I was going to have to pay for it. I’ve had many problems with them messing up my Invisalign before this, them “throwing” away my trays, waiting months to even get them and calling to set up my own appointments. I walked out today with the job partially done and a $3100 loss. This place is ran by unprofessional people all around. Save your time and money. This practice is a joke.

After waiting 2 weeks and looking at waiting 2 more weeks because my old dentist was deciding if he wanted to treat me, Aspen Dental has been a Godsend. I'm in the process of treatment and will update my review as we get further in the process. But right now, I'm very pleased

Aspen Dental Lubbock not recommended:
I just found out that I have periodontal disease (gum disease). I scheduled an emergency appointment because I have been in a lot of pain for 2 months and an old filling has come loose while flossing. I have been in pain for eight years since the initial work was done by a Dentist in Denton, Texas. I can hardly chew on that side of my mouth because it is so tender and I feel like I'm crunching down on my teeth. Two months ago, while flossing, the filling came loose and now the pain is even worse.
I went in today for an emergency appointment at Aspen Dental in Lubbock, Texas at 5607 Slide Rd to see what could be done.
I have dental insurance through my job, but when the lady at the front counter checked my insurance card, she told me that it only applied to medical.
I filled out my paperwork via tablet from the front desk for my appointment at 11:45am. I completed and turned it in around 12:12pm. When they called me back (maybe 12:30pm) and started doing x-rays. The young woman who started doing the x-rays said it was her first day. When I was sent to the next room for different x-rays, another woman took over because, as she said right in front of me, "they needed to do it fast". I asked if they were closing or something. The woman answered that yes, they close up for lunch.
When I was then sent to another room so that they could examine my teeth, a different lady came in and quickly picked around at my teeth and left quickly after telling me that I just needed two fillings taken care of. I asked if I had any new cavities (since I've been in so much pain, which I put on the paperwork for the reason I was coming in). She said no. The dental hygienist came in to look at my teeth and gums after that. After checking my teeth and showing me my x-rays, he informed me that I had signs of periodontal disease. I briefly explained how my teeth have not stopped hurting since the work I had done back in 2013 and did he know what might have gone wrong originally, he said that fluoride toothpaste might help it not be so noticeable and that he himself has fillings that are sensitive. He said it's a process of learning how to chew correctly and that when he experiences pain or sensitivity, he tries to chew on the other side of his mouth. He sat behind me for most of the conversation while I was telling him my situation and asked me what my name was as I was about to leave to discuss future appointments with a different staff member. When the staff member called me to speak about finances and appointments, she called me by the wrong name and when I corrected her, she blamed dyslexia. When we sat down at the computer, she confirmed that I did not have dental insurance. I told her I do have dental insurance but I guess I don't have the right card with me.

I have had bad experiences at the dentist before in different places, but this was very impersonal and careless. They all treated the situation as though lunch was more important and they needed to hurry up and do a routine check up even though I was a new patient coming in to find out what the problem was with my teeth.
They spoke around me, like I wasn't there and I felt like my pain was ignored and minimized. I will not be returning. I will be seeking a Dentist who cares, knows my name, reads my paperwork and does their job.

Great customer service. They really take care of their people, and they do their job. They don’t make you wait forever. I won’t be going anywhere else.

It was my first visit. I was needing a more affordable dental care without insurance. Aspen Dental surpassed my expectations. They people are super friendly and professional. I was VERY happy with the prices without insurance. The prices saved me 1/3 to 2/3 difference from the other dental service that I went to. I need a lot of work done and Aspen Dental helped me get financing and made some suggestions as to dental discount plans that they work with, This place is super ! I have already recommended it to other family members that need dental care and don't have insurance.
