I have been a patient of Dr. Layton’s for the past ten years, and I can say nothing but wonderful things about him and his staff. I had a filling that my old dentist put in twice, and it fell out twice. The third time, I went to Dr. Layton and I have never had an issue with it since! His work is just as amazing as his bedside manner. I have had four additional fillings done by Dr. Layton with no issues. His staff are also very accommodating and work with you to ensure you get the best price possible. Extremely professional and down to earth people, I love it!

Dr. Layton has been phenomenal as a dentist for myself and my children for many years. Recently, I took advantage of the whiting for my teeth and I am very pleased with the results!

I highly recommend Dr. Layton's office for general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry as well!

The staff here are excellent. They are very kind and attentive. Went in for emergency tooth extraction and Dr. Layton was amazing! He quickly removed my tooth and sent me on my way. I was very impressed with this procedure since I've had another tooth extraction elsewhere and it was a miserable experience. I am very pleased with dental office.

Had my first visit with Dr. Layton today. I was really impressed. The staff members were all very friendly, courteous, and attentive. The facility was very clean. I admit I was apprehensive about going to a dental office located in a strip mall but once you walk in, it is a completely different atmosphere than what you would normally imagine. (I was used to offices in a medically related business park area.) I recently moved to this area, as well as the state for that matter and Dr. Layton and his staff made me feel very welcomed and comfortable.

When I saw the name of the center, I wasn't sure if this facility would be the right choice for me because I was only needing routine dental care and not really anything cosmetic but I got lucky because they perform the services I needed in addition to specializing in cosmetic dentistry. I also feel really lucky because during my exam, Dr. Layton made it very apparent that he is truly experienced in his profession of dentistry. He did a wonderful job of explaining everything and he was spot on with all of his assumptions just from taking a brief look in my mouth. He genuinely cares about his patients and shows concern when necessary. I am looking forward to my next visit with him for my cleaning, something I would have never dreamed I would say considering I absolutely hate going to the dentist.

A friend recommended me to Dr. Layton and I could not be happier. He and his staff are professional and very accommodating.
Dr. Laytons prices are very fair and he worked with me financially to meet my needs.
If you are looking for a new dentist...I highly recommend Dr. Layton.

Terrible Experience!!! I had gone to Dr. Layton for my routine cleaning and a couple of fillings. Upon my visit he suggested a bridge because I was missing a molar on my lower right side so I got the bridge. After months of pain in that area, I went to a new dentist where they showed me how close the bridge was from the bone and how some areas were not covered completely and that is why I have been in so much pain! Plus to adjust my bite, he shaved from the bridge and my top right teeth! The bridge was showing metal already after a couple of months of the procedure. If the permanent bridge was not sized correctly, he should have never tried to put it in carelessly doing whatever it took to fit it in! So after spending more than a few bucks with Dr. Layton, now I have to pay another dentist to remove the bridge and put two new crowns and an implant!

Dr Layton has been my wife's and my dentist for over 25 years. He is a knowledgeable professional who is honest, reliable and caring. We wouldn't go to anyone else.

Beautiful smile! Dr. Layton is really a perfectionist when it comes to cosmetic dentistry. I had some crowns that were old and starting to look pretty bad. His work was meticulous and the result is that I now smile with confidence. Thank you, Dr. Layton.

Went to dr Layton for over 10 years and was quite happy. That is, until our insurance changed and the next year it changed back during which time I’d had to see another dentist and they (wrongly) diagnosed a cavity and subsequent filling that gave me trouble from day one. Dr Layton did a nice job adjusting (filing down the edges of) the filling when I came back to him when we got our insurance changed back. However, it kept trapping food between teeth, so he recommended re-doing it. It wasn’t bothersome, and had no pain prior to him re-doing it, but as soon as the numbness wore off I had unbearable sensitivity to cold and hot. Went back to him a week or so later (thinking it would subside) and he prescribed a medrol dose pack which I told him gave me bad reactions and was concerned to take. He said it was that or a root canal because it sounded like the tooth was dying.
I tried to calm it with lesser means and ultimately went back to him a few months later when it still didn’t get better to find out what he thought was going on and what other options there were between a medication I can’t take and a root canal.
I calmly and simply asked him what happened because I didn’t understand how a perfectly functioning filling would cause me so much pain and my nerve to “die”.
He yelled at me. Yes- you read that right. I was crying and was helplessly lying in the chair, while he was accusing me that I’d had pain all along and it wasn’t anything he did. Lies. He even read my record to me- in which it stated I had no prior pain. He grew so angry and began to contradict himself even as he read the note out loud. I felt unsafe. So I asked for the referral to the endodontist, gathered my things and left in tears.
The staff didn’t know what to do, and you could tell they had seen things like this before given their nervousness around him.
I went to another dentist and they easily determined by x-Ray that when he “re-did” the filling, he’d not taken the whole filling out, but simply a part of it, leaving a microscopic hole between the two (old and new) fillings. That hole lead directly to my nerve- causing the injury to it. I had to have a root canal, and a crown.
Luckily my new dentist is wonderful (see my other reviews) and my anxiety now is much less than after the trauma inflicted by Dr Alan Layton.
After 10 years, you’d think he’d care more for his clients.
****Side note: after MUCH research it is apparently a BAD sign when a dentist doesn’t work with hygienists, but do the cleanings themselves. I’ve spoken to many hygienists and my out-of state siblings’ dentists (to get impartial 3rd party input) to try to find a dentist I could trust after this, and they all said that was a red-flag. They said it indicated he didn’t work well with others or didn’t want someone checking his work. Makes sense, and I wish I’d thought it through more prior to thousands of dollars, a year and a half of pain, anxiety and incredible frustration.
