If I could leave zero stars here I would. This place is extremely unprofessional, disorganized, and unsafe. Not only did I have to wait three hours for an appointment for fillings and a retainer, but they made me see a different dentist than who I scheduled with for their convenience, so I did not receive the retainer I pre-paid for and the fillings were done so poorly I now have to go pay out of pocket to get them fixed. The staff were argumentative as to the fact that they never sent me any confirmation for the appointment they merely texted me about, and they stole $60 for their own inability to send an email. DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST

We moved to Salt Lake last year and we’re lucky enough to discover Salt Lake Dental. I’ve never been one to rave about dentists, but this office is one worth raving about! The staff are so friendly and professional. They take the time to explain things and educate you and are transparent about the costs. I also love that they are open on Saturdays!

When I called to make an appointment for my husband they said I needed to make a 60$ deposit and that the rest would be, with the 60$ deposit, a total of 118.00. After they'd pulled his tooth they all of a sudden wanted 300.00 more. They should have said as much in the beginning.

Rude staff and front desk. Do not go here. They are like a crooked mechanic when it comes to billing. They are not upfront about their fees or anything else. DO NOT GO HERE.

I needed an extraction and implant and three crowns replaced and wasn’t happy with my dentist. A family member referred me to Salt Lake Dental and my experience could not have been better. Dr. Carter and staff are real professionals and their office is state of the art. Highly recommend.

I’m a self-pay patient and needed a teeth cleaning. I Googled dentists near me and found this place and made an appointment before checking the reviews. The reviews were pretty bad but I decided to keep my appointment because I thought I’d have a different/better experience than what I read.
I checked in and, to be fair, I did start off on the wrong foot with the front desk. I sit down and 10mins go by and I get a call from them asking where I am (while I’m sitting in the waiting room), it turned out the front desk, long, blonde-haired lady never checked me in.
The hygienist was very sweet but she admitted that she wasn’t sure how to use the tools in that exam room, and it was easy to tell as the cleaning went on. There was water spewing everywhere on me including my eyes and forehead, drool/water running down the sides of my mouth, and getting to the back of my ear since I’m laying down. She was nice but it was messy. I’ve never had an experience like that with a teeth cleaning. Then the dental assistant “polished and flossed” my teeth, and afterward the dentist was supposed to see me but by this point I was already miserable wanting to leave. I didn’t get my exam and just left, I would never come back.

I had a great experience. The receptionist texted me to reschedule and was very accommodating. I appreciate that they send text messages. Everyone was super friendly and helpful at the office. The cleaning was quick and the hygienist was good about checking in with me to make sure I was experiencing any discomfort or pain throughout. They worked quickly, answered all of my questions, and gave me good suggestions. I like that they take pictures of your teeth in addition to the x-rays and show you exactly what they are talking about so their advice doesn't seem abstract. Overall really professional and personal. I highly recommend this office.
