I’m not sure why you keep saying there was a scheduled appt? Maybe your 10 years of experience is getting us confused with someone else?! Or maybe you’re just deflecting like you did in the first comment with your “comfy chairs and tv” (that had absolutely nothing to do with anything) Reviews are here for a reason .. Honestly, we left that day with every intention to come back FOR A ROOT CANAL PER YOUR DENTIST once insurance was figured out, also bc the staff seemed really nice, the dentist seemed caring and the place was lovely .. until the 10 day hassle with your office manager that doesn’t return calls. THERE WERE NO FUTURE SCHEDULED APPTS FOR ANY TYPE OF WORK WHEN WE LEFT YOUR OFFICE THAT DAY. YOUR DENTIST SUGGESTED NOT TO EXTRACT, SO WE DIDN’T! Which also means we didn’t schedule anything, which also means he didn’t miss any appts.
Im sure you’ll continue to justify the negative criticism instead of actually fixing the problem but I’m done here.
Quick update to the below reply from the owner .. My sons very first appt with Salt Lake Dental was Monday Jan 24th at 9am for a toothache. Upon arrival, I prepaid for an exam/xray and a tooth extraction. He received the exam/xray but decided against the extraction per the dentists suggestion. We left your office with no scheduled appointments, and no plans of an extraction so your comment below about missing 2 appointments is a LIE. I called for 10 days trying to get a refund. I seriously cannot believe that you would just write random information that’s not even true. Check your information!!
Their billing is the ABSOLUTE worst to deal with. Prepay for nothing bc it’s a nightmare to get a refund. Their “office manager” Wendy doesn’t exist, and if she does, she doesn’t return calls, messages and definitely doesn’t listen.

I've never had an issue with Dentists, now I do. Horrible bedside manner, the hygienist was more professional than the dentist was. I now have two teeth that had cavities filled at salt lake dental that are incredibly sensitive and are chipped/mutilated. Don't waste your time with this place.

Not enough space to recommend this place. Clean, courteous. Knowledgeable, and I drive an hour each way just because of this. I trust nobody else but Dr. Carter and his team.

Whoa the front desk girl needs an attitude adjustment, walked into the entrance and the only thing she said to me was “NAME!?” with one hell of a tone then tossed an iPad at me with no further instructions. I was there to get a cavity repair and the last time I was there they told me my insurance would cover all but 40$, yet today it cost 100$. (No change to my insurance) This was also my first cavity since I was a kid, so I had no idea what they were doing throughout the procedure and the Dentist did not explain anything? As someone who works in the medical field, that’s pretty alarming. Too busy chatting up his assistant I guess. Then afterwards I switched to a different room for a teeth cleaning, the dental hygienist was actually very friendly and nice, but he was the only person that seemed to want to interact with me. Will not be returning.
Also had a really bad experience with the appointment prior to that. Someone from there office repeatedly texted me to remind me of my appointment, but I was up hiking in the mountains with my family and had bad cell phone reception, so the only message that came through was a threatening one saying if I didn’t respond to her within a few hours she was canceling my appointment and charging me a 60$ no show fee (mind you, my appointment wasn’t for 3 days still)!?! I know she’s someone’s psycho ex girlfriend. 😅 Not a professional way of interacting with customers or running a business.
They also don’t give out a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, etc. goodie bag like every other dentist I’ve been too. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

I was in so much pain that I needed help right away and I didn’t think I would have much luck because it was Saturday but they got me right in the same day and took care of me. I started the day in complete agony but ended the day being able to eat again and get good sleep, I will be going back to them from now on!

Salt Lake Dental was able to provide me with excellent care and service when I had an emergency root canal issue. They were able to see me almost right away (on a Saturday!) and provide me with some much needed pain relief. The staff was super welcoming and the cost was very reasonable. I would recommend everyone to check out their office if they are in search of a great dental office. You won't be disappointed!

Recently had to go there for a tooth extraction operation to finish what another dentist started. Practically loved every minute of it; the procedure was very quick and painless. The dentists there seem to know what they're doing. Very affordable.
