My first appointment was today and it was great. The staff are friendly and very helpful. They took the time to explain everything and make sure I understood the process. I highly recommend them.

Just had novacaine injected to help reduce pain from my broken tooth twice around the same location. I don’t know why, bc I had no work done, it hurt so bad. It was swollen and bc I could not feel anything, apparently the swollen area where the injection went into got worsened bc it protruded into the bite area of my back teeth. It was numb and I didn’t know I was biting down on my swollen cheek back in there. It’s been 3 days and still hurts very badly. Thing is, I went there with my broken tooth pain already under control. It was not clearly explained where I understood that no work would be done and they were injecting novacaine to help my nerve pain. I reiterated several times that my pain was already controlled and by what meds I was using. I explained to both dental assistant and dentist that the pain only happened twice in the past 2 months since I broke the tooth. Still, she injected novacaine so I thought they were going to do some kind work to it. But, no work was done. I was referred out to an endodontist for a root canal eval. First of all, if I had clearly understood no work was going to be done on that visit, I never would have accepted novacaine bc I was not in any pain. Secondly, the initial injection of novacaine did not come close to my bottom back tooth. Instead, the novacaine immediately worked its way up to numbing my left anterior nostril and front half of the roof of my mouth. 5-10 minutes later when the assistant checked on me and I described where the numbing was affecting, she said “that’s not right” and immediately retrieved the dentist. The dentist injected a 2nd dose of novacaine around the initial injection site. The injections hurt and just did not feel “right.” Maybe she used a bigger gauge needle than I’m used to getting. All I know is that ever since I got the 1st novacaine injection, I have been having non-stop pain at the injection sites and where my cheek is still protruding (feels like a smooth lump) very close to my back teeth. It really hurts. I never write a negative review and I am not trying to sound nasty, hateful, ugly, nor facetious. This is just from my own first experience at my only visit to this dental office on Cedar Rd. Albeit, there are MANY other dentists employed there. There was well over a dozen patient rooms, the biggest dental office I have seen. It’s looks like a newly constructed office building and very beautifully furnished. It was a little busy, and accounting for that, they must have a lot of return clients. I just had my own personal and painful experience. I know my pain and injury was not done intentionally. Could be from the dentist being in a hurry or lack of experience, idk. I’m just sharing my experience. Thank you.

My dental hygienist is the best. She is Informative and the only one that can take my x rays with minimal difficulty. I have a terrible time when x rays are being done I think is called underbite.

Dr Fields did an excellent job on my crown on Wednesday. Was greeted with excellent service. The front desk clerk/receptionist was very nice, funny, down to earth, and always making us laugh.

I wish I could give zero stars based on how the staff has treated my mother recently. Ever since they found out she has Dementia and needs deep cleanings we have had issue after issue. My mother has been rescheduled I can't even keep count of how many times now. They always claim there is an issue that's popped up all of a sudden or she is rescheduled incorrectly. I reached out to the office manager and still no return call. I'm so glad that I switched her to a dentistry that actually cares and won't treat her differently because of her mental condition.

I absolutely hate going to the dentist but they completely changed my mind. She was so very kind and gentle. She made sure I was comfortable and always warned me if something would be uncomfortable. She was also just incredibly fun to talk to and made the time fly by. I really do appreciate the staff there for helping me get over my fear and for truly helping my dental health. I won’t be boycotting the dentist ever again

I’ve had to visit the Chesapeake Konikoff location twice in the past week and each time I was there every single person, from waking in the door to leaving, was so friendly and helpful. Dr. Rahman was amazing. I could really tell he genuinely cared about my comfort and making sure I wasn’t painful, even with being the only doctor there and seeing other patients at the same time. I was so impressed with him and his team at getting me the care I needed on such short notice and continuing to do so as well.

Saw me on an emergency basis with an appointment within two hours of when I called and spent 90 minutes treating me. Very friendly, responsive and detailed in their treatment. It was a great, and painless, experience.
