Beautiful Smiles

I have been coming to Beautiful Smiles for quite a few years and since the pandemic I can see a decline in the care and treatment provided. I had a filling and when I explained to the dentist that now my tooth is rough ( which wasn’t rough prior and not where the cavity was) she really got defensive and short with me. So now I have a rough tooth that wasn’t rough before.
My daughter had a filling as well separate from my visit and the first time she numbed her and waited a while then injected the needle which caused no discomfort. This time she placed the numbing cream and immediately injected the needle into her gum which cause my daughter to cry. I feel like this was done on purpose and rushed all after I stated my daughter didn’t need nitrous oxide ( which I said she didn’t need when scheduling the appointment). I stated last time you waited before injecting the needle while holding my daughters hand as she cried. Once she finished she said the topical doesn’t take long, but from out last experience she waited. She also said “ you failed to realize” I’m explaining that it doesn’t take long” then says well I see you’re hostile and don’t want to have it done” which I stated none of that. I told her she was creating something that’s didn’t happen” I simply was advocating for my daughter who is now sitting in your chair crying when she didn’t before. So then she left and sent someone else in to give me information to go somewhere else to have the cavity filled because we talked about it ( she not we) and because we had a confrontation ( which also didn’t happen) and because “I was telling her how to do her job”. She did not address me and never said she was not going to finish. She went in the back and took a break. This experience was not what I’m use to and sad that this took place. So now my daughter is numb and no service rendered.

I recently visited Dr. Jill Bussey for a cleaning, filling, and a crown from a recent root canal done by different dentist and I am extremely impressed with the quality of work she provided. From the moment I walked into her office, I was greeted by friendly and professional staff who made me feel comfortable and at ease.

During my cleaning, Dr. Bussey was thorough and meticulous, paying close attention to every detail and ensuring that my teeth were as clean as possible. She explained everything she was doing and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process.

When it came time for my filling and crown, I was understandably nervous, but Dr. Bussey expertise and gentle touch quickly put me at ease. She explained each step of the procedure and made sure I was comfortable throughout. To add on two weeks after, I took my 2yr old in for a cleaning and she handled him so well, I couldn’t believe he actually allowed her to service him without a cry or fight.

Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience at Dr. Bussey’s office. Her high-quality work, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills left us both with a beautiful smile and a renewed confidence in both of our dental health. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of dental services

I have been a patient of Dr. Bussey’s for 7 years and unfortunately the last three years (starting before the pandemic) the quality of care has dramatically dropped. They seem to be having trouble retaining a hygienist, to the point where at my last visit I waited 45 minutes without being seen at all before I had to leave to pick up my children, and when trying to reschedule I was told there wasn’t a hygienist even scheduled for that day.

I had called the day before to verify appointment time, and let the receptionist know that I would have only an hour for my appointment. Dr. Jill walked in while I was having this conversation, and instead of apologizing, shrugged and walked by. Sad.

If they can right the ship, this is a calm, clean, beautiful dentist office and Dr. Jill is pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, I will be changing dentists.

As a patient for over 5 years, I have experienced nothing but professional and exceptional care from the receptionist, Technicians, billing staff and the doctor. The office is always clean and they take time to explain my treatment plan. My family enjoys the services provided including our take home care kits (smile). I look forward to returning and often recommend this practice to my associates, family and friends.

I've been a patient of Dr. Bussey's for since 2010. I've always received outstanding dental care from Dr. Bussey and her staff over the years. Dr. Bussey and Kimberly work together as a great team. The front office staff is always friendly and accommodating.

I am a Veteran of the United States Air Force and have served my country and fellow Veterans as an Intelligence Officer and as a Paralegal. After serving in the USAF I made the DC/MD/VA area my home. I searched and searched for a great dentist due to an unfortunate experience in 2000, which caused me to not want to return to a dentist at all. After visiting Beautiful Smiles By Dr. Jill Bussey I was greeted with reassurance that everything was going to be okay. After my cleaning with the best dental hygienist I have ever crossed paths with...Dr. Jill Bussey reassured me that my teeth were not bad at all and that they would take care of me. Since about 2012 (8 years) I have been receiving my dental care form this amazing practice. When Dr. Jill and her team perform their services on my teeth and my son's teeth, I feel at ease due to their superb bedside manners and prestigious subject matter expertise. You know when they look at your dental work and start to work on your teeth....they can immediately determine what is needed and they don't hesitate to explain to you in detail what they found, what the plan of action is and what the best maintenance plan is moving forward. Terrible service. Staff and dentist are unorganized, unprofessional and dishonest. Facility is outdated and unclean. The doctor’s hands were shaking during a fill in. The dentist’s daughter runs the front desk and is untrained. STAY AWAY!! RUN AWAY!! Most reviews are from the dentists associates and/or not recent- if you look (unlike me ugh 🤦🏿‍♂️) the bias is apparent. WARNING ⛔️!!!! If you have a dental issue save your time this office is one of the worst I’ve dealt with for ANY medical issue I’ve had. I’m taking my business elsewhere. The worst medical experience I’ve had by the staff and dentist. Never felt the need to do a review but I wanted to save the next person any sort of problems! Dr Bussey and Kimberly are the dream team. They worked me into a busy schedule and corrected my problem with speed and efficiency. Maddison at the desk made me feel welcomed and Laura helped me with my insurance. The office is convenient and beautiful. I have found my new dentist. Thank you:)

Beautiful office and space but not your “family dentistry” feel. After 3 years, the staff never worried about learning our names and it is quite evident the office prioritizes the bottom line. Will be seeing another dental provider henceforth

I've been a patient of Dr. Bussey and her staff for almost two decades. I highly recommend this team! They keep my smile looking great in addition to phenomenal customer service and attention to detail. I am hard to please, and I leave impressed after every visit! Great job, Dr. Bussey and staff!
