First off, I have to say I’ve been avoiding the dentist for a while. Unit now. I had a major procedure done and I hate needles and pain. The staff was First Class. They were like family. I had NO PAIN and was on my way after a three hour visit. I’m now a regular customer for Life:)

Dr Prato is extremely thorough, gentle, and knowledgeable. I came in with a problem I didn’t I know I had and was very skeptical. As it turns out he was so right and I wish I would have seen him years ago as I would probably have avoided losing my tooth. I’m a very nervous patient and all the staff I have had contact with are very understanding and kind.
My husband has switched to this office as well and has been very pleased with his care.

I am so thankful to have found this dentist office! From the moment I made my appointment with Brenda at the front desk I knew this place was special. I've had a lot of dental work done over the years, and I walked into the office that morning with a tooth that was in a lot of pain, and both Kim (the sweet and kind office manager) and Tiffany (the kind and nurturing dental assistant) greeted me with warm smiles behind their masks. After taking my x-ray's, Tiffany could tell I had a lot of dental work done, and she did not judge me. She was very professional, kind and empathetic. It immediately put my mind at ease. After meeting Tiffany , I met Dr. Chiang, who also greeted me with a warm smile behind his mask. He had such a nice presence about him. I could tell he was a caring man. Which also put my mind at ease. Dr. Chiang removed my tooth, and during the process Tiffany kept asking me, " if I was doing ok?" He removed the tooth smoothly. I was on my way out the door, and greeted by Cassie ( the lead pt. advocate) while checking out. Cassie was so sweet, we chatted about fun traditional things to do in the area, being as my family and I are fairly new to WA. The team and staff at Down to Earth Dental represent their name so well! They are all very Down to Earth and truly caring and good natured people. I am so happy to have found them! If going to the dentist makes you a ball of nerves, like me, this is your place!! The people here are just so positive. The whole time you're there it's like you wandered into a TV commercial world where people actually like their jobs.
I've had to go in for quite a bit of work recently, and every single person that has worked with me has been super friendly, professional, and eager to explain anything they're working on and put my mind at ease.
The place itself is clean and professional. Very nice bathroom, displays in each room, etc... It's not a huge place, but there are enough rooms probably for three or four people to be seen at once.
If this place is at all convenient to where you're located, I strongly recommend it.

I am due for a root canal, however i needed my crown/bridge removed first. Dr. Pock did the removal with absolutely no pain. I had to be referred to a specialist for the root canal which i hope to get done this next week. I highly recommend this office for any dental problems. Great staff and office personnel.

y this dentist. After having spent years at another dentist and having to get the same work done over and over, it was time for s switch. This office was close to home with professional and caring staff that helped with my high anxiety about dental work. They gave me options to best suit my needs. Highly flexible. Will get all my dental work done here. Very pleased with the quality and the dentist.

What a joy to have found Down to Earth Dental's NE Tacoma office! Office Manager Kim fields our questions about billing and coverage with kindness and expertise. The cleanings Var conducts are painless, even with the increased use of scrapers necessitated by COVID 19 rules. Dr. Pock is gentle and efficient. She is especially careful to see that my periodontal issues are taken care of. My daughter's work shifts make the evening/weekend appointments a big plus. The office is close to our home and my work so I can fit cleanings into my lunch break. And they use all the newest x-ray tech. This dental practice has a small town feel with big city chops.
