The front desk was on the phone looking at pictures on her phone and didn't even notice me when I said hi. Sat in the waiting for 25 min past the appointment time.

I had a consultation for dentures and a treatment plan on March 5th, 2022. I was told I'd hear from them in two weeks to see if medicaid would cover. Two weeks passed and I called them. I was told the upper would be covered, and that the person who works with medicaid would call me to let me know what my out of pocket expense will be. Today is May 1st, 2022 and I'm still waiting for that phone call. I feel as if I'm intentionally being ignored due to having medicaid.
This is a real post, not fake as Star Dental has replied to on many of their negative posts.
Can someone please recommend a great dentist? I'm done with this place.

I'm writing this Google review so everyone knows how this organization has operated.
My wife had all of her teeth removed at this office five years ago due to life long issues that finally warranted dentures. She was only 27, but there was no fixing the damage and this was the least impactful way to ensure good health going forward. This office removed her teeth and, during the process, left a number of roots in place. This led to dry socket and immense pain for my wife requiring a return visit and fixing of their mistakes, of which there were more than one root left behind.

We are now five years later and my wife has dental pain again. This is odd as she doesn't have any teeth left. She goes to the dentist and finds out that she somehow still has her wisdom teeth AND they're impacted. We're still under Medicaid so go through the process for approval and oddly we're denied. Why? She has dentures and these teeth have already been removed according to them. As in Star Dental Institute billed Medicaid for the removal of teeth that were not removed.

I have now contacted the Colorado Medicaid office for reporting fraud and contacted this office as well. Hopefully this comes to a complete resolution before the growing infection in my wife's mouth becomes more problematic.

The receptionist Tracy forgot to check me in so I patiently sat there for an hour and 15 minutes before I went to talk to someone and no one was apologetic or anything. Very unprofessional.

These guys spent weeks putting off fixing one of my teeth and eventually forcibly discharged me for no good reason, and a year later I found out why from another dentist: they had totally screwed up my root canal and would have had to fix it first. This was one of a litany of problems I had with them. These guys are condescending thieves and it’s obvious from their responses to others. Comfort dental has much better providers, much more honest staff, and also takes medicaid.

Star Dental gave me the most friendly, compassionate, and best dental care I have ever received and I will never again go anywhere else for my dentistry needs. I'm long winded but I promise it's worth the read:

I had a cracked and abscessed tooth, when it hurt (off/and on) the pain was so severe if I was driving the thought of slamming into a cement wall would cross through my mind. That was a week ago today, I was in SEVERE pain. I called them, and they could have got me in that very day but I was busy and couldn't make it until this day due to work BUT they had me send them a picture of my damaged tooth AND AFTER LOOKING AT IT THE DOCTOR PRESCRIBED ME PAIN MEDICATION WITHOUT EVEN HAVING SEEN ME YET!! That's care right there folks, but.. for the next entire week my tooth for whatever reason (thank you God) caused me barely any trouble so I never picked up the prescription (I had some antibiotics at home for the infection) thinking to myself it's probably just ibuprofen 800. I picked them up today before going in to brace myself for the pain and discomfort.. they were Hydrocodone. Again, that's care.

Honestly though, this is pretty much what touched me the most: if you've had a tooth extracted before you know how they inject anesthesia into your gums, and that's actually moderately painful.. I didn't ask for it, I didn't even know it was something that people did because I've never had this level of care but they applied some sort of topical anesthesia with a q-tip? That's care. These people care. Do yourself a favor and care about yourself enough to not go anywhere else because I'm telling you I was going to "Comfort" Dental before and there wasn't anything comfortable about it. (Though Dr. Budge was cool)

The assistant Valerie was very friendly and everyone was a pleasure to speak with including Stuart and the doctor, Dr. Moore. He didn't sugar coat the issues and I didn't hide the reasons behind them but he broke it down and explained my options and made my visit as pain free as possible.

Thank you KINDLY Star Dental Institute. Thank you Stuart for your intake help and trying to get me in ASAP, thank you Valerie for the pleasant conversation, and thank you Dr. Moore for your care and time. May you all be blessed.

My husband recently had his remaining teeth pulled and had dentures made. We had been to four other dentist and oral surgeons. Star Dental is without a doubt the very best of all of them. His appointment was made quickly. The dental extractions were completed under sedation and he received his temporary dentures the same day. He has had hardly any pain whatsoever. His mouth healed very quickly and he is now able to eat almost anything with ease. His dentures look incredibly natural and he is so pleased that he can smile again with confidence. Star Dental was by far the most reasonably priced. Each of the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Dr Moore is just incredible and so professional. We both feel that Star Dental was by far one of the best dental experiences he has ever had.

I accidentally threw my upper plate denture out and was promised a same-day plate for $1000. Not only did they place me in a tiny cubicle with an old dirty broken dental chair, but the gal helping me literally sighed and rolled her eyes when I asked to see examples of the three dentures they offer. When fitting, I explained the front teeth were way too short and she told me that she couldn't change that; the she could only help with how they fit. I couldn't go without teeth so I agreed.
I was then told I had to come back 5 days later for my same-day plate because they were so busy. However, I received a call the day before my next appointment saying they had to reschedule for ten days later citing their schedule was too busy to accommodate me.
I told them I'd prefer to not reschedule and was literally hung up on. Now I'm sitting here toothless and searching for another clinic to help. Unbelievable.

I put on a tough facade, but am terrified of the dentist. My experience at Star Dental with Nettie and Dr. Kim was one I will never forget. I laughed. A lot. Nettie and Dr. Kim made me feel so comfortable and joked with me. They spent a lot of time (Thanks for the extra time, Nettie) explaining what was going on with my teeth and gums, and then made a realistic plan that I can afford. Dr. Kim was thorough in my examination and very honest with me, KNOWING that I cannot afford or finance big dental bills. I will be forever grateful to this place for the professionalism, the laughter and the solid, real plan for my teeth that I can live with and not extend myself overboard in this time of pandemic. I will never go to another dentist now that I have found Star Dental.
