Great dentist! I've been a patient for the last 10 years and have always had a good experience. I've never had pain which is so important to me. There's wonderful staff at JP Dental who are always curtious and helpful. I highly recommend Dr Poovey and his group!!

The staff is always so friendly! I love that they always are clear in what they will be doing so there are no surprises. My appointment was at 3 for my cleaning, took me back promptly & was quick easy and out!

While still early in the process at this time, it appears Dr. Poovey and crew are the caring professionals one would like them to be. All have been open and gracious when answering any questions, or concerns I might have. I’m in the “healing” part of the process, which is an extended amount of time to allow the jawbone to heal around the implants, while gums heal and shrink back to a more normal ‘before’ size. I have a full plate of teeth, which will have to be re-lined as gums heal. So far - so good...

06-22-‘18: At this time, implants have healed, and snaps and sockets have been installed. The implants were installed off-set so as to minimize any “rocking” front-to-back. There is still some rocking, which allows the right-side snap to come loose while eating, allowing food to get under the plate. This keeps the plate and snap from re-connecting, causing discomfort. JP has slightly differing sizes of sockets, so we are trying tighter sockets to alleviate problems like the plate coming loose on one side. I am hopeful...

Always excellent care at Dr. Poovey’s Office. The new dentist, Ari, did the work today and she was fantastic.

Very efficient and well organized. Appointment was right on time with very little waiting. Dr. And staff friendly, interested in patients concerns and problems. Explanations clear and concise and treatment plan complete with costs.

So I have been to at least 3 dozen dentists in my life. In all that time I have never once, apart from here, heard 2 dentist's collaboration about my grill while they were over it. It seems to me this is not just good but excellent practice. I heard their opinions and was able understand two opinions and when they agreed on a course of action I was educated on the thought process of both and felt very comfortable with it. Team effort is a great thing and so is teaching the patient a little bit about what's best for them. This was an "emergency" procedure and so I don't know if this is a normal thing. The office was clean, the receptionist was efficient, beautiful (her eyes) and very friendly. So far my work done there is holding and it's already been a week. I'll be back to this place.

I found Dr Poovey 26 years ago. No doubt happy paitients directed me to him at that time... Over the years when my girls needed expert dental work performed, I drove them to Grand Junction to have Dr Poovey work on them. As we had moved away from Grand Junction. One of my girls still see him as well as their 4 young children and husband. Over the years I have witnessed Dr Poovey grow & create a fine dental practice here in Grand Junction. He is committed to providing excellent care. And I trust he & his staff to do just that!

Dr Poovey’s assistant, Jenny, is the greatest. She is vey detail oriented, patient, gentle and caring. She goes the extra mile in keeping you informed about the process.

I would not recommend Dr Ari. She was more concerned about her schedule and the way she wanted to do my crowns, instead of what was best for me. She bullied me into getting more medications, even though I had already told them NO.
