I had bad problems with my teeth all my life, and the medically dictated '10-year opiate dependency' just made bad into a tooth rotting disaster. I had another dentist do a few replacements, but he was not even close to the technical expertise of Dr. John Poovey (one of first men who befriended me when I moved here) or Dr. Brandan Wilcox, anywhere. Plus the quality of their staff makes me smile every time I visit. Highest praise for Dr.'s Poovey and Wilcox, and their entire incredible staff..

I've gone to JP Dental group for as long as Dr. Poovey has been practicing in Grand Junction, 15+ years. In all the years I've gone there I've never had a single complaint. His staff is second to none. The dental hygienist in his office are the best! Sandy always takes time to make sure that I'm comfortable and does a thorough job with my teeth.

I have high maintenance, horrible big teeth that take up half my face. As a kid, I thought it was very unfair that I had cavities in every molar in my head while my brother who brushed less and ate more sugar than me, had no cavities. As an adult I continued to struggle aimlessly with my teeth until I met Dr. Poovey and Karen. From square one, they evaluated my teeth as a part of me in the moment and not separated from my life circumstances. They take the time to educate me on the pros and cons in matter of fact, consistent and honest ways so that when I am given treatment options, I can give informed consent. I feel like I am a partner with the ability (and responsibility) to help maintain a good outcome. Their high level of hands on expertise in the technical aspects and their diligence in keeping to strong standards while applying that expertise makes me believe that there isn’t a complication about my teeth that Dr. Poovey and Karen can’t help me to solve. It is without hesitation that I write this review as a way for others to become as blessed as I am.

I was injured and had several surgeries and implants inserted over a span of two years.
The incredible staff were very caring and professional. I was in good hands.
And then Dr. Poovey was very kind and thoughtful and understood how difficult my journey was. He is very thorough and precise and would not accept any procedure that was less than perfect. He is the only dentist I could ever recommend.

Dr. Poovey was so helpful in explaining what he was going to do and was very professional. We have recommended him to a friend already. His staff are great people also.

Kristi Kennett is the best hygienist I've ever seen. She's extremely thourough and always takes time to review any concerns I might have. Me and my family have seen her for years and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend her!

The office is always well organized and I really feel like I am being taken care of and listened to. If I need a bit more time or a lot more time, Dr. Poovey and his staff spend that time with me. My teeth and bite are not simplle I have issues and we are slowly painstakingly facing and solving them. Thank you and I look forward to the office in Glenwood Springs opening in October 2020!

JP dental has changed my life, I have not smiled for years. I'm now in the process of correcting my smile. My teeth have been a source of shame, holding me back in my personal and professional life. Thank you JP dental, your care compassion and amazing staff have truly changes my life.

I would highly recommend JP Dental and Implant Center. The dental hygienist took time to get to know me, and was efficient and knowledgeable in conducting my cleaning and x-rays. The dentist was also personable and excellent in his exam.
