Dr. MJ Alsafar took over this practice less than a year ago and I am very impressed with the entire staff here and the care they provided our family of 6. Appointments all started on time and they were amazing with my autistic son. Most importantly, all of my kids aren’t scared of the dentist anymore! It might sound silly, but I also didn’t feel judged for cavities or other issues they found. The doctor was excellent at explaining things and laying out all options. I wasn’t just told what was wrong, I was shown with clear pictures and on the x-rays. Overall I am incredibly pleased with our experience and will be scheduling our recurring visits here.

I always liked coming here! Been going to Switzerland Dental for a long time and Dr Shaffer always made me feel comfortable to get my teeth clean ( I never use to like going but always am comfortable going here)! When I found out he retired I was sad to see him go but happy for him! I meet Dr MJ this past visit and he is really nice and I was comfortable ! The girls in the office are always friendly and very sweet! I can actually say I like my dentist office! Thank you all! ☺️

I hate going to the dentist. I don’t like the tools as it always makes me feel uncomfortable. I met Dr MJ Alsafar in Boston in the private clinic at Harvard dental. Great first visit. From the receptionist who was super sweet and helpful in assisting me complete the forms to the hygienist who made X-rays and cleaning a painless experience to the doctor who asked enough questions to learn if I had any concerns and explained what the X-rays showed, I was made to feel totally comfortable and cared for. I am sure the staff and doctor are highly skilled. I scheduled for a cleaning, my first since before the pandemic, but didn't actually get a cleaning. The exam was appropriately thorough, and the Doctor, quite sensibly, recommended more advanced procedures. Then, after I declined the more advanced procedures, they refused the cleaning. When I objected that I was there for a cleaning, the staff member told me that I can go anywhere and nobody will ever clean my teeth because the doctor recommended more advanced care. I am not comfortable with that kind of heavy-handed maneuver.
