The staff has always been GREAT at the Northside office and I'm pleased to say it carries over to the Southside office as well. This was my first visit to the Southside office; due to a change in my work schedule, I made the switch, but I have been going to Dr. Lorraine for more than a decade. Dr. Lorraine is always personable and caring; I love her for that reason, and she will always be my Dentist. If you are looking for a dental office that treats you like family and makes oral care pain free see Dr. Lorraine Polite-Clark and her staff.

Extremely rude over the phone. I tried calling and making an appointment for my husband as a new patient and the woman over the phone completely cut me off mid sentence. Won't be spending my money with them.

I would leave negative stars if I could. I went to see Bennie Clark two years ago just before covid hit. It had been two years since I went to the dentist. They took xrays and were polite. When the dentist came in he told me that he needed to show me how to brush my teeth because I was doing it wrong... what? I’m 49 and have great teeth and I use a sonic care since the 1990’s... he proceeded to tell me that he would have to take out an replace my fillings along with filling the multiple other cavities I have. I asked if they could just clean them and we could work up a plan to get the other stuff done. He refused to clean them until I agreed to a $400 fluoride treatment payable that day.
I got up and walked out of the office, I was so upset I didn’t even want to go to another dentist for fear he was right.
Today, after another 2 years I went to EVANS FAMILY DENTIST on Atlantic Ave. I have 6 small fillings that are just fine, all my teeth and very little plaque buildup after 4 years. I have 1 small cavity that needs filled and a chip on the back of a tooth with a side filling $163 for both.
The hygienist said they were the nicest teeth she saw all day and it was afternoon!
GO SEE EVANS FAMILY DENTIST if you need something done. They only charge $10 for fluoride not $400.

UPDATE 02/22: Michelle is now gone. I've been here for years and they have a huge turnover in staff.
I love the care and attention Michelle gives each time I come for my cleanings and periodontal cleanings. She's very thorough and educates me on ways to improve my dental health. While I see Dr. Clark and /or Dr. Polite-Clark once a year, the dental hygienist is part of the work they all do.
The only negative is that once a year, I have to remind and make the front staff to look at my history and record to see that my insurance pays 100% for all my cleaning. Each time they see my history of this and say they will add a note but every year with the same insurance, I'm told I need to pay my deductible. While this is frustrating, I must add the staff is always professional and eager the fix the problem. So its never been more than a minor annoyance.
