I had a wonderful visit at this practice. The hygienist had miracle hands -I have very sensitive gums and I scarcely felt a thing. Everyone made me feel very comfortable and there was no pressure for extensive treatments. Over the years I've had many dentists recommend thousands of dollars worth of work on my initial visit. It's very refreshing to meet a dentist who doesn't act like used car salesman (my apologies to honest used car salespeople everywhere).

Dr. Spilman is by far the best dentist I know--on par with my own mother, who was my dentist until she retired years ago. Dr. Spilman will NOT sell you a bill of goods. He will NOT drill through enamel (thereby weakening your tooth and increasing the likelihood that you'll need a crown in the future) to install a filling that is, at best, "iffy."
Underlying his judgment about what you do or do not need is concern for you, a person, rather than his own profits.
As an example, my son cracked his front incisor horsing around with a friend, and was experiencing significant pain. He consulted another dentist, who advised a $2,000 procedure to "fix" the tooth with a cap that would have altered his appearance. I advised him to get a second opinion from Dr. Spilman--and the office was able to squeeze him in that same day.
Dr. Spilman repaired the tooth using a painless, noninvasive technique for a little over $400. The pain was gone, the tooth hadn't been weakened, and his smile remained intact! That was almost a year ago--and he's had no problems since.
This is the place to go for an honest, practical, caring dentist who does what you need for a reasonable price, and whose techniques--in my own experience--are completely painless.

I’ve been with Dr Spillman since he took over from Dr Myers fifteen years ago. Dr Myers held himself to the highest standard for patient care. He wouldn’t leave his practice to someone who didn’t carry on that legacy. He’d be proud to know that Dr Spilman has continued to provide that same lofty standard that he had achieved.
