Troy Family Dental

I have been going to Dr Spencer for over 20 years. I had moved away and could no longer go to him, and then bam I found out he was in Troy Illinois. Definitely worth the 30-minute drive. His bedside manner is remarkable and he's one of the few people who can give me shots and manages to keep the pain at bay. Dr Spencer put veneers on me over 20 years ago and they are as beautiful today as they were the day he did them. When I did have to go to different business, they always commented on how good of a job my veneers were. Recently I do not any longer have dental insurance, The dental program that they offer with x-rays and two cleanings a year and a 20% discount has been a great help to me. Thank you Dr Spencer for always being there for me.

The staff at the front desk is always warm and welcoming. I always look forward to my visits with my hygienist, Samantha. She is thorough and friendly! I’ve been going to Troy Family Dental for so long they feel like family. It’s always nice to see everyone!

The Troy Family Dental team is great! Shawna, Katy, and the rest of the team were very patient with our 3 year old. Shawna was also very accommodating with our almost 1 year old while I had my teeth cleaned.

I have extreme anxiety with dental procedures and even had a panic attack in the chair, but Miss Amy was so kind and professional! She took her time and waited till I was ready to continue without rushing me. She talked me through all the procedures as she worked, which was very helpful.
The ladies that work the front are also very professional and patient. They allowed me to ask all my questions and express my fears before I even scheduled an appointment. Each lady was knowledgeable and gave me all the information I needed to calm my nerves a bit.
Dr. Spencer was also very kind & professional as I expressed my fears. He was very reassuring and made sure to explain the reasons for the procedures I would need. He didn't make me feel judged or bad about my concerns and problematic areas.
I will continue my dental needs with Troy Family Dental & really appreciate that they do it all! For someone with dental anxiety, having different doctors and offices preform different procedures, would terrify me & have been half the reason for my delay in getting major work done.

All in all, this place is clean, organized, & built with a strong team; in my opinion. Would 100% recommend!

I actually enjoy going to the dentist! Both Dr. Boatman and Dr. Spencer are very gentle and caring! My hygienist, Shawna, is friendly, outgoing, also very gentle. They all are very thorough. I highly recommend Troy Family Dental for your dental health!

This office is amazing! I have never seen such a great group of people working in one place.
My daughters and I have become new patients to this office and I’m so happy to have found such a great place to have our dental work done. I’m very happy that they can perform all the work in one office and we don’t need to be referred anywhere else. We have had 2 oral surgeries done here and I am very impressed at how easy and quick they were. Very happy!

Update #1: We called to get hold of someone the day it happened during their business hours. Couldn't get hold of anyone and left a detailed message on their voice mail to get back with phone number. (That was over a week ago.) I get the canned response to my review below and we give them another call. The person on the phone automatically sends us to voice mail for the person to get back to us. Again...left a detailed voice mail with call back number. Did they get back with us? ABSOLUTELY NOT!! We are now at another weekend with NO call, NO resolution, NO standing behind their work. Do you want this kind of customer service from your dentist? Too bad they already have all my money. (Over $14,000 worth of procedures by the way)

Read the reviews on Yelp. I don't know what the discrepancy is between the Yelp, Google, and his website reviews are, but it's huge. Read the reviews before you decide to go here. Publicity and ability to go onto the local TV programs doesn't mean you're the best dental outfit. I included a picture of an implant that fell out after SNEEZING and only 2 years and 8 months after the work. Would you want to go to a dentist where that happens? You be the judge.

Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful people, great place. Very professional, very friendly and knowledgeable of their work. Makes me look forward to going.

I have been absolutely impressed with the facility & staff. Dr. Spencer is my Dentist & I have every confidence in his skills. I am getting a replacement of a full upper denture & lower partial on both sides. Today I went in to view & check fit of my wax product. I could not believe how good they looked & how close they fit. I imagine there may be some minor adjustments with the final product, but I feel confident they will strive for perfection. Thanks to all for your great patient service. Judi Allen

Today was my first time visiting this Dental Office and OMG......all of the staff was amazing, especially Amanda!! I went in for an emergency last minute appointment and I walked out relieved, satisfied and happy! No more toothaches for me! I would like to thank everyone for such an amazing experience and looking forward to my next visit!
