Davidson Family Dentistry

Unfortunately, Google reviews does not allow a response to the business. I tried editing my first review but, they also cut character length. My first review was from the account DN (Google also does not let you put more than one review, so I had to use a different account). I just want to make sure to clarify some items in the response from the office.
1. The sighing was not a COVID mask issue. It was a customer service issue.
2. Dr. Davidson did not come in special to 'help' me. He threw off my whole bite by grinding down two healthy teeth and a crown. NONE of which needed it. My teeth now hit at a different spot with and without the night guard, and food gets stuck around all of those teeth where it never did before.
3. He did not take a history from me. He briefly recapped the issue with my night guard and said he would work on the crown and night guard. To me, this meant the crown YOU did, not an old one that I have NEVER had issue with.
4. He asked if he could grind down ONE top tooth. It was clear I didn't want him to. But he creepily asked, "Do you trust me." My response was, "I don't know you and this has been a terrible experience." He made it seem as it was my only choice. So I said yes and literally cried the entire time knowing that at 42 years old, that tooth had never been an issue. Later I was told he ground down TWO teeth. **The hygienist mentioned something about a numbered tooth when he was more than 1/2 way done leading me to believe he didn't even know which crown he should be working on.
5. A "No Cost" replacement was NEVER offered. That is what I requested and was told they would do it at 30% off which is what I called to schedule only to be told Dr. Davidson wanted to try and fix it first and if he couldn't they would make one. "No Cost" was NEVER stated. Had it been, I NEVER would have let him touch those other teeth.
6. Had he taken a history or even looked at the notes, he would have known that the clenching of my jaw while I sleep is an issue with my entire jaw and not just that side. Teeth grinding wasn't the issue. Clenching my jaw was. AFTER you all did my crown, the night guard no longer fit. Leaving my jaw sore the next morning and locking up my jaw. I am not looking forward to finding out all of the issues he has created with his random filing of teeth that were just fine. He should only have touched the crown you did and the night guard. That is it!
I am clarifying this because you have made many excuses and I want to make sure patients are getting the full story.

I hate going to the dentist and only would go when absolutely necessary. And I don’t go to any one particular Dentist since they all seem to be the same and they hurt my mouth which I don’t like however I tried Davidson Family Dentistry, first went in for my initial check up and discovered I had cavities..

Davidson Family Dentistry staff was awesome when I went in for my cavities they numbed me to a point where it didn’t hurt and I was impressed I have not went in and got a cavity filled where Dentist did not hurt my mouth therefore I would recommend this dentist office to anyone who is scared to go to the dentist or looking for a new or change because they will make you feel comfortable, does great dental work!!!!

I've been going to Davidson Family Dentistry for years, and they have always been professional and friendly. I trust them to help me maintain my teeth. No complaints. They do an excellent job!

I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist. Coming here really eased my anxiety and I was taken care of with the upmost respect. I was able to get in quickly to have some teeth extracted, and it was such an effortless experience. I was in and out, properly taken care of, and felt comfortable through the whole thing. They even gave me a blanket while I laid there getting my extraction done. I’ve never been to a dentist that goes above and beyond for their patients, and do everything possible to make sure you’re comfortable. I can’t boast this place enough as my experience truly left me in shock and awe at how well my statements were listened to and how well the doctors treated me, making me feel like I was the only person there. These doctors are so dedicated to their work and the comfort of patients and I will continuously recommend Davidson Family Dentistry from now on!

We really like this family dentistry. We have been seeing Dr Michael Davidson for over a year now. He is patient, good with the kids (and my anxiety), and listens to my concerns and opinions. He will address the issues and solutions and is willing to discuss the options openly.

I commend Dr Davidson. I posted a negative review of his practice based on a past experience. I just received a call from Dr, personally, asking to help rectify the situation and offering his apologies. Nice Job Dr Davidson. Our family is still seeking a family practice, and we will give them a second look based on this experience. :-)

5 star rating for Five Star service. I had an emergency and they got me in within an hour and a half. Everyone is super nice and friendly, do excellent work and are very professional. Highly recommended!

I have been going to Davidson Family Dentistry since Doctor Dave started his practice. I was one of those patients who had anxiety even for a dental hygiene appointment. His calm demeanor and his professionalism helped me overcome my anxieties. I totally trust Doctor Dave's recommendations for any work that needs done. I have also seen Doctor Michael and Doctor John when needed. They have the same philosophy that Doctor Dave has instilled in his business. From the moment I walk into Davidson Family Dentistry, I am greeted so warmly by the Front Desk and then treated so compassionately by the Doctors...I walk out knowing how fortunate I am to have placed my dental care in the hands of the best!

They got me in as a new patient the same morning after a dental emergency. Accommodated my crazy anxiety by explaining every process and making sure I was okay throughout the entire visit. Everyone was super kind in the office and I can actually say, I don’t dread going now!

Like many hated going to the dentist. Always got told I had horrible teeth, bad brushing habits, etc. The Davidson Team was always polite, helpful, and professional telling me how i could improve instead of just criticizing. Having them show the spots I was missing on their monitors was very helpful. I really wish I did not move out of the Des Moines area as I would love to continue going there. (If I ever move back I will be going there again). If I could would give this place 6/5 stars!
