Wheatland Family Dental

I’m really disappointed with my experiences with Wheatland Family Dental. I had high hopes from all of the reviews too.

I made an appointment (9/21) as a new patient with no issues, I thought. Made sure to request time off work for it and made sure my insurance covered, but I wasn’t able to get fully serviced (still). The receptionist who booked my appointment apparently didn’t take my information so they couldn’t confirm. They treated my appointment as “she might come, she might not” and didn’t schedule the appropriate time for a full routine service (X-rays, exam, cleaning).

I tried to be understanding and had to schedule a cleaning for a separate day(11/2). I had to reschedule and it was fine(apparently) but then my appointment (12/2) got canceled last minute because there wasn’t enough time for the hygienist. Okay, fine. I set up another appointment (12/30) but then that one gets cancelled last minute (today 12/29) too. I even called them yesterday (12/28) to confirm my appointment and the receptionist said it was all good. My original appointment that I had set up was in mid September.

The X-rays done at the initial appointment was done by a trainee and it was pretty painful and they were having a bit of trouble with getting the right angles.

I was billed incorrectly and had to call to get it corrected.

The receptionist also mistyped my name (they had it as Nicki, it’s fine, I’m used to it) and when I notified them I told them “Nikki with two i’s”. I thought I was pretty straight forward but then I get a confirmation text addressed to “Nickki”. I’m not upset about this part, it was just funny lol.

The doctor who saw me was nice and professional in the brief interaction I had with him.

I filled out the paperwork online ahead of time, but apparently they couldn't access it because I filled it out using a pdf annotation app, and it has to be downloaded, filled out, and emailed back as an attachment. Nowhere was this information on the website. So... I had to spend another 15 minutes the day of the appointment filling out the paperwork a second time. Other than that, it was a good facility and the people in the back were nice and informative.

I had a cracked tooth and was in severe pain. I was able to be seen same day. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I really felt at ease. I will be a regular patient at Wheatland from now on. They have gained my trust.

I loved my hygienist. She was considerate and kept me from leaving wheat land. I wanted to look elsewhere because my last check up was tough on my gums and they completely made it up to me.

Everyone here is so nice. The hygienist and doctor always say what they are going to do before they do it and always make me feel so comfortable. I love this office.

Had a 10am appointment, they called and had a opening for sooner which was great. Had to have a tooth pulled. Everyone was friendly and great. The process was quick and as comfortable as can be for a tooth extraction.

In the 25 years I’ve been going to the dentist I’ve never had a dentist like dc. Khanani. Not only does she make you feel at home but she’s kind and caring when it comes to her patients. She strives for perfection and settles for nothing less then greatness when it comes to her work and expects the same from her team. I have always left there feeling as I got the best work that a dentist can offer. It didn’t matter the day or time if there was ever a problem with my teeth she was there and I would like to thank dc khanani and her amazing team at wheatland family dental for making me feel like family and taking care of me. I would recommend wheatland family dental to anyone looking for someone that will truly take care of them and all there dental needs

i and my family used Wheatland Family Dental from 2015 to 2020. Then moved out of town. This place is really clean and all the people are helpful. They take care of your teeth very well. very professional. and Dental Hygienist are skilled and listen to your needs very well.

This is by far my favorite dentist! I’m here for college so I needed a dentist in Wichita and this was the place to go. They are so respectful and take good care of you.
