Great Hill Dental - Somerville

It had been several years since I had last been to the dentist. Upon my first appointment at Great Hill Dental, it came with no surprise that I needed to schedule follow up appointments for deep cleaning and invest in higher quality dental equipment. I had so many questions and even got emotional over some of the news regarding my dental health. That said, the staff at Great Hill Dental were so kind and helpful. They took the time to answer all of my questions. My doctor checked in frequently throughout my deep cleaning to make sure that I was as comfortable as possible. And when the dental assistant saw that I was getting emotional during my initial visit, she reassured me that everything was going to be ok, and has said hello and been so welcoming with each visit. I really appreciate the kindness and professionalism of Great Hill Dental - Somerville staff. Thank you!!

Excellent dental practice. Professional, dedicated staff who are very knowledgeable and keep up with the latest dental technology. Kim is a superb dental hygienist and Dr. Mikolowski and Rosie are also excellent. They always take you on time and are very efficient. Highly recommend.

We have been taking our daughters to Great Hill Somerville for years. Dr. Thacker and her team working with kids are great. Today my daughter had a wonderful dental assistant who told her what she was going to do before she did it throughout the appointment, which was really helpful and my daughter appreciated it.

Best dental practice ever! In the entire world! I mean it. I have never experienced such professional and courteous care. And unlike every other practice, you don’t have to wait weeks to get an appointment. I called them as a new patient and they fit me right in within a couple of days. Definitely go to them. You will be very happy you did.

I've been getting regular cleanings and checkups at different practices and they were all... alright. That is until I ended up at Great Hill! The care and service I received from my hygienist, Khang, and the rest of the team was stellar. I have metal brackets for my braces that previous hygienists and dentists couldn't clean efficiently but Khang was easily able to clean around them and was so thorough! He explained the x-rays of my teeth and even gave me a mirror to explain to me what was what and why. Safe to say I found a great new place for my teeth care!

Aside from the concern and wonderful attention to details, the care was personable and efficient. Immediately, the dental assistant called in a dentist to check on a problematic tooth. I was also impressed with the expediency and helpfulness of the front desk staff responding to my questions about my using the Bay State Benefits card under my wife's plan.

Stay away from Dr. Michalowski. My impression of him was that he is rude and lazy, and does not care about his patients. He informed me that I needed 4 fillings re-done, and was not willing to re-do them himself. Instead, he told me to go back to where I had them previously done (despite the shoddy job they did). Did not care about me, let alone my teeth. He may have been having an off day, but my experience was truly terrible.

as always..it was a pleasant informative healthy appointment. Dr Michelowski and company are very experienced and professional...thanks Doc..as always I highly recommend this dentist. 5 stars all the way!!!

Richard Michalowski, DMD has been my dentist for many years. He's the best in the business!! I was seeing another dentist before I started seeing Dr. Michalowski and he change my life!! My teeth has never looked so good and beautiful. People compliment me all the time about how beautiful my teeth looks. I credit Dr. Michalowski for the great job he did working on my teeth!! I can't imagine me seeing any other dentist but him!!
If you are looking for a professional and caring dentist, then you want Dr. Michalowski!!!

I genuinely love going here for dental appointments. The front desk staff are super friendly and helpful, the waiting area has free coffee/tea/hot cocoa from a Keurig, and the professional staff are excellent. I've been seeing the same dental hygienist for five years now, and my visits with Inessa are like catching up with a friend. They also do email and text appointment confirmations and reminders, which I really appreciate.
