Midwest Dental Big Lake

I have been a patient of Midwest Dental in Big Lake for 10 years, and a patient of Dr. J's for most of those years. I started going there because of the reasonable prices they offered for my dental care, and have continued going there all these years because Dr. J. and his staff are the most friendly, caring and compassionate staff you will ever find. I have had all my general exams and cleanings, root canals, dental caps and one post implanted at this clinic, and I could not be more happy with the quality of professional service and personal attention I always get. Dr. J. takes the time to follow up with me after my appointments, and that kind of attention and service, keep me coming back. If you are looking for a 5 star dental clinic, Midwest Dental is the place to go. Dr. J. and his staff have made me a life time patient.

I was extremely happy with all the staff who were very knowledgeable and very helpful. Dr. J was very gentle and wanted beyond all else to make the visit and my tooth extraction as much of a positive and painfree experience as possible. The old clinic that was here was horrifying and the complete opposite of the clinic there now! I am deathly afraid of dentists, but Midwest kept me informed and very comfortable. I intend on going back and having more work done asap. Also the prices were way cheaper than quoted due to a check payment with a 5% discount for chks. And cash payments. Finally a dentist that i can trust!!! Been there twice now, preparing for more extractions... Still very happy and won't need to be so stressed this next time I go in now that I know what to expect... They Have now also implemented a great discount plan on top of the already low prices, great news for old schoolers like me who had bad experiences and were met with high prices that caused people like me to wait yrs to get back to see one again..

Had a great experience here with Dr. J! I had lost a filling over the weekend, the office got me in Monday (when I wasn’t even a regular patient) and fixed my issue in less than an hour. I couldn’t be more pleased with the kind treatment and quality of their work!

My experience was great. I called to get an appointment they were able to schedule me for the next day. I do not care for dentists but went in, the front desk person was very friendly and nice I only waited for maybe 2 minutes before I was called back. The hygienist was also very friendly making me feel more comfortable. Then was seen by Dr. J who was great, he made me laugh and that set my mind at ease. The procedure was quick and painless and most of all my tooth feels better. Needless to say, it was a great visit to a place I would feel comfortable going back to and working with their staff again. I had tooth pain, Dr. Laabs prescribed clindamycin. days later I felt like I had covid19. I missed 4 days of work $530. turns out this drug mimics the flew! why would anyone prescribe this during a worldwide pandemic?! I called them and told them what happened and they still want to bill me! STAY AWAY from here!!!

I needed cosmetic repair on a front lower tooth. It turned out great and was quick. I used the new patient special for my initial exam and cleaning. Super impressed with the high tech equipment. Dr. J.R. and his staff did a terrific job.

I have an amazing hygienist here and she does a terrific job!! I think the negative reviews must be from before they were bought out (used to be a Smile Center), or from people who don't actually go here (complaints about which insurance they don't take!?!) Dunno. Maybe she just does a great job with me, but she really does a great job with me! Well, my daughters too. So, yeah, they're even good with kids.

I had a dental amalgam filling (from a different provider) break/fall out earlier in the week. I thought it would be a couple weeks for anyone to just take a look at what happened with the filling and another appointment to fix it, but the good Dr. fit me in on a Saturday which was amazing, and they took care of a cavity I had forming on a different tooth. Will be coming back to check my other fillings and I would recommend this provider over Princeton Dental.

I have always been afraid of dentists because of some past experiences. Dr. J. made me feel comfortable right away. He is very professional and experienced.The procedures that he performed were absolutely painless and he explained what he was doing. I am very happy with the results. I think the whole staff is very friendly and helpful. Kim is an excellent hygienist and makes the whole experience a pleasant one.

Great experience!!! Very helpful in making the correct decisions about my teeth and what needed to be done. Extremely helpful while going through process and told me what was going to happen and how to respond if I experienced any pain. I did not have any pain during treatment and was treated very well by the Dr and all the staff.
