It's been my experience with dentists that yes they want to help you with your teeth, But also want to make money.
With the dental school it seems thay only want to help you with your teeth.
My experience with Tray was great! ! I have nothing but good things to say about going to the U of M Dental School.

Getting to the appointment was a difficult chore. Construction forced rerouting to park in the ramp. Going through health safety protocol was time consuming and not really necessary. My student was courteous but difficult to understand.

I had a very good experience this morning with Alex. I had a cavity under a bridge at the back of my mouth. He and his assistant worked well together to reach a tough place, at the same time, always checking to see how I was doing. It was not an easy procedure but was done very well.

No issues Ciara is amazing even when I broke down crying my first appt cause I have dental anxiety she was so understanding and patient!! Didn’t feel a thing definitely would recommend

Rami was excellent in thoroughly examining my teeth, etc. and came up with a fantastic dental treatment plan for me! He answered my many questions and was patient with me as I am elderly and slow to understand. Being kind and patient is truly an asset! He pointed out everything on my x-rays and explained what was going on. I really appreciated his positive personality and acceptance of me the entire time. He was very polite. I have experienced very rude dentists in my life that did not want to explain anything to me or answer my questions. Some dentists would practically yell at me when I reacted to pain or didn't have my head positioned right. Recently I went to two appointments with a new dentist who would "yank" my head back and forth. Bedside manner is practically as important as exceptional and professional work done with a patient. It gains trust and lessens the fear so we are more calm and relaxed. So many people are afraid to go to a dentist often from bad experiences. I am grateful to have Rami working on my teeth and the U of M Dental Clinic. Also provided to me was confirmation from my UCare Insurance on what would be covered. That was very efficient and relieved me from having to go thru the insurance myself. Thank you to Rami and the U of M for my special dental care! From Mary
