I had to return to make an adjustment on my fillings. It was a bit high and I was in pain. The dentist used a drill to correct the issue but didn't numb me first! I had two fillings so there were two areas. THIS WAS SO PAINFUL! Even though there were tears rolling down my face and I was shaking because it was so painful, she would not stop. She only said "you just gotta breath", that's it. I had a huge panic attack afterwards. I don't recommend this place to anyone. I have NEVER had a dentist use a drill on my teeth without numbing first. It was an extremely traumatic experience. Only gave one star because there was no option for no stars.

Had used Progressive Dental for years when I worked in Shakopee and then moved out of the area and tried a few different dentists but found that it is worth the trip as I have always had a great experience, all staff is great and they can get things done quickly when needed. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful staff, service, and environment. I couldn't ask for a more professional and outstanding group of individuals to trust my oral health to. I make it a priority to come back every 6 months just to have my annual exam here. Dr. Downs is also wonderful and incredibly talented. She is an absolutely superb dentist and I would recommend her to all my family, friends, co-workers and anyone looking for a great place to go.

Just had my first cleaning at this office and I would highly recommend. My hygienist C was amazing! Quality work, extremely kind, very friendly and cared about making her patients comfortable! Would 100% go back and will be. After a bad cleaning at a different office/business I was nervous but now I feel good about going to the dentist again. The Dr. was very friendly and caring as well!

Dr Downs has been a great dentist for my entire family and even extended family! She's also been supportive of us on a personal level outside of the clinic. She's been the best dentist my family has had in the 16 yrs we've lived in Shakopee. Her support staff is just as awesome too!

I think I've left a positive review on here before but I feel the need to do it again. I travel an hour to come here because I TRUST them. They will help you if you have any issues and they do great work. I first came to progressive after a bad experience elsewhere that left me half way through a procedure when the dentist stopped and told me she couldn't continue & gave no help, progressive dental (Dr Downs) took care of me same day, she is super awesome! She didn't leave her patients by the side like some through COVID she trucked on. I can't say enough. Dr Downs & staff are good people and are hero's in my eyes!

All of the staff are great. When you walk in, they know who you are and great you as you check in. I love having Cindy as my hygienist. She's great at chatting when cleaning your teeth so it's not akward. Dr. Downs is always happy to see patients and at explaining what's happening with your teeth. She's bubbly and kind. They never make you feel bad if you aren't as great as you should be about your teeth and praise you when you are. I highly reccomend them.
