Me I would due to her not doing her job, she told me they took my insurance which they did not I wasted my time and money. I hope the boss lets her go soon because she is unprofessional and does not know the policies to this dentist office.

Dr Yu is not great at handling small cavities. Tooth became infected after a simple filling. But he does extractions well. My experience if you don’t want your teeth, this is the place to go.

My tooth extraction visit was so awesome with Ms Wendy and Mr Yu. This was actually an emergency appointment and they were so professional and awesome. Took them 10 minutes to pull my tooth and I did not feel nothing. These guys at this Dentistry are so awesome from the receptionist to the Dentist. They develop a plan and give you a print out of the costs and what your plan should cover as well as what you can expect to pay. They'll answer any questions you have and get you in quick at appointment times.

Horrible experience. Long story short Dr. Yu didn’t listen to which tooth I wanted to start with (I needed 2 crowns and I wanted to start with the one that was giving me issues first). I informed every person from the receptionist to the dental assistant to the doctor from the moment I walked in the door to the time they were getting ready to start my crown and HE STILL DID THE WRONG TOOTH. Dr Yu doesn’t listen to concerns. I kept telling him that I believe my bridge was loose during my dental exam and he just passed right over that telling me I an additional crown and that it wasn’t a loose bridge). For the record it was a lose bridge that I had another competent dentist fix for me (Dr. Ford in Olive Branch). I’m thankful Dr. Ford listened and was an amazing dentist.
Dr. Yu is only able to run through his prepared speech on what he wants to tell you that you need (I know this because of the time I spent there I heard him give the same speeches and sales pitch in each room he went into). The list with my issues with American Family Dentistry is long but I will say this- DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. Find someone else. Anyone else especially if you value your teeth.

The staff is amazing. The dentist is straight to the point, but is very thorough. He doesn't play about safety. I forgot my inhaler and had to go home and get it. Yup he waited on me, but without that inhaler he wasn't doing anything. I liked that because he cared enough about me and his integrity to wait. Colleen is an awesome assistant. Forgot the young ladies name at the desk, but she was very nice. My dentist experience has been changed from horrifying to very bearable. Thanks AFD!
Macy is the best! I feel differently about going to the dentist now. I'm more comfortable and less traumatized. Thanks to Dr. Yu and Macy, I now look forward to coming to the dentist to see my progress.

They charge you for everything I went for a cleaning and I have health insurance but they charge me a hundred and some dollars for others things and I had know problem with my teeth. I have never paid anything for a regular cleaning. Than I was getting bills stating the my insurance hasn't paid so I call them and they said the dentist office haven't sent them everything that they needed. I had to deal with this situation for months. Than they tried to get extra money from my insurance company by sending services in that I didn't have done. They didn't know that I was going to talk to my insurance company and we called them together and Melissa didn't I was on the phone. She was lying to them about the service I got than I spoke up, she was sharked and said she would write the remaining balance off. Don't trust these people because they are crooks. They will even they to charge you $75.00 if will don't cancel your dentist appt. within 48 hours. I will never go there again.
