Parkville Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics

I will say the practice itself is great. However, Dentist Wendy Werley is extremely lacking in the area of bedside manner. The first appointment she talked about her Chinese food order for lunch with the assistant throughout the entire procedure. On the second and third visits she was extremely condescending and apparently thinks her attempts at sarcasm are appropriate. In addition to that she is not a good listener and quite frankly says things that even she can't remember. Everyone at this practice I've encountered has been amazing and it's unfortunate that her lack of professionalism impacts the rating for the entire practice.

Like most Americans a visit to the dentist is low on the priority list. Which is why it takes a very special place to make you feel welcome and cared for doing something you'd rather skip. Dr. Yin and his team at Parkville Modern Dentistry is such a place.

The office motif is hip, the dentistry tech is state of the art, but most importantly the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. After my first experience I eagerly scheduled my next appointment and I will be taking my wife and 4 teenagers regularly.

Time will tell if this breath of fresh air (pi) in a normally stuffy profession can keep up their game. Here's one dad that's rooting (pi) for them!

Earlier this week, I visited Dr. Yip for a root canal. Unsurprisingly, I had been dreading the experience, but Dr. Yip did everything within his power to make the experience as painless and efficient as possible. The concept of more or less losing a tooth comes with a host of concerns from physical to aesthetic, and Dr. Yip went above and beyond to address my concerns by ensuring the crown for my root canal matched my other teeth as well as possible. He also applied an appropriate amount of numbing agent to prevent pain, but also allow for facial function in the aftermath of the procedure. I have been visiting Dr. Yip for almost six years, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. He truly cares about his patients and provides insightful and well-reasoned explanations prior to suggesting any time intensive or expensive procedures.

Dr. Werley has been our family dentist for years. Can’t say enough good things about the level of care she’s provided, she’s patient with the kids, and she’s always on time, which is greatly appreciated for a busy family like ours. The team at Parkville does a fantastic job as well, always courteous and helpful when scheduling or answering questions about insurance. Highly recommend Dr. Werley.

Dr. Yip is amazing. You can tell after meeting him the first time that he went in to dentistry to help people and that is his priority. He handles complicated dental situations with the greatest compassion. He gives you options to help assist you in finding a solution that works best for you and your wallet. Myself , my stepdaughter and my husband have had dental issues that range from normal dental care to complicated care and Dr. Yip has always given us stellar treatment. Not only that but the staff at Parkville Modern Dentistry are the cream of the crop! Great customer service and always willing to go the extra mile for the patient. If you are looking for a new dental provider, look no further Parkville Modern Dentistry will not disappoint!

Dr. Mbata is very understanding of his patients' experience and makes sure it is a positive one. He is not just a dentist, he is an artist as well. He is literally the best dentist I have ever seen.

Loved my cleaning that I had done with Melony and my Exam with Dr. Ball. Both were very professional and descriptive in what was being done. Melony used a new cleaning tool called the cavity on machine and my teeth have never felt so clean. I came back a few months later to have my whitening done with Natalie and once again a great visit!

Best Dental/Medical experience ever!!! Great customer service and professional caring doctor and staff.

I definitely hate going to the dentist other than when I get a cleaning which I love but this time was for a crown and they eased my anxiety and got me all smiles again. I have another appointment coming up and I am actually looking forward to it. It's such an amazing feeling to know you're getting treated and cared for by the best. I love my Healthy Smile =)

I'm conflicted with this review. I got a problem tooth removed that was giving me issues for the past two months. With the covid19 thing going on finding a dentist to remove it was difficult. On the visit they wanted to remove the tooth and suggested that the one giving me the pain was actually the tooth in front of it and wanted to do a root canal. I don't have that kind of money for a root canal. On one side I'm glad I got it removed I am now pain free and feeling great. On to the bad side. I want to preface this with I've had quite a few teeth removed. So I have a base level of how the procedure unfolds. Dr. Werley seemed very nice and pleasant, but when she came in with the tools to do the job it was extremely rough. Like a bull in a China shop. I thought maybe I reminded her of an ex or possibly owed her money outside of my current visit. It reminded me of the dentist in little shop of horrors. There was very little care and delicate touch when performing the extraction and was without a doubt the roughest tooth extraction I've ever had. I honestly felt like she was intentionally trying to cause me pain. Avoid Wendy Werely unless you're into dental torture.
