Since I’m new to ABQ I have to rely on google reviews for my recommendations. I was looking for a dentist near my home. When I called I got in fairly quickly for a new appointment. Working in the medical field you can’t always go by “online reviews” because many people only go online when they aren’t happy, but I didn’t have any where else to turn and I found this office from google. Hopefully you will find this review helpful. I found Dr. Gonzales sincere, hard working, and very personal on my first appointment. Also every staff I interacted with was overly personal and delightful which is rare at an office. They all seemed happy to be there and I think that’s a reflection from the top down. I would recommend this office if you are new or looking for a general dentist.

Dr. Gonzales and the crew at Academy Dental have been taking care of my dental needs for about four years now and I am very pleased with their quality of work and professionalism. In addition, the team as a whole are very happy people and fun, which takes the dread out of going to the dentist. You can tell that they are doing something right in how they manage the place with how well the workers interact with each other and with their customers.
Most recently, I chipped one of my front teeth (in kind of a severe way) and I am completely shocked with how well they repaired it - you can't even tell it was ever chipped. I would post a picture of if I could. Phenomenal job!
Update 6/21/18: Almost fell asleep twice while Carrie Jo (sp?) was cleaning my teeth. All of them take such great care of me there. Thank you!

The staff is very friendly and extremely professional. I have been coming here over 10 years and they have taken great care of me. I have relocated and they are always accommodating to schedule me when I’m in town. They also remember the names of my family members. I wore braces and they have a close relationship with the orthodontist, which has made scheduling dental or orthodontic visits, especially for emergencies like broken or loose wires easy.
