Dentists' Office of The Hudson Valley

Dr. Oshman, periodontist, is the best. If she ever leaves and goes somewhere else, I would drive 200 miles. Caring and excellent at what she does. Her assistant, Alyssa, is an extremely kind person also and helps make the experience the best it can be.

Everyone I have ever had at this office has made the experience as good as it can be. Been a patient here 20 years.

Because I am not a person of conflict I considered not writing a review at all, but here goes.
My mother had gone to other practices to get a diagnoses on an afflicted tooth before going here, and had known from multiple sources exactly what and where the problem. The dentist at this office not only misdiagnosed completely, but diagnosed the completely wrong tooth. When my mother told him this, he literally started shouting at her. She is now banned from the practice, and it makes me extremely uncomfortable every time I have to come in for a checkup because of how they look at us when the records show up.
When I went to get some cavities filled this past year, there was an unexplained 45 minute wait (in addition to a half hour wait in the lobby) while I was left unattended in the dentist's chair. By the time they came in, they were so rushed that they didn't let my numbing injection sit long enough before drilling commenced. They ended up having to give me an additional shot.
I wish I could remember the name of my mother's dentist. She tried reporting him, but I want him fired.
Would not recommend this place. Some of the dentists working here are fantastic and talented, but only certain ones. May you get lucky.

The place is wonderful. Everyone is so nice and the atmosphere is delightful.
I had an emergency and was (surprisingly) booked within an hour. I also saw A LOT of smiling children. Nice to see a dentist's office filled with happy people!

Dr. Balaster is excellent as well as her dental assistant, Sam. The appointment was timely, the waiting area plenty of social distancing and the attitude were great. Can't recommend highly enough.

Place is wonderful! Rate them the highest! Athena at the front is great! Ashley is great! Marcy at checkout is great! These ladies are very professional and made me feel very comfortable and answered any and all of our needs! They are a true asset to your office

Going to the Dentists of the Hudson Valley has always been a pleasant experience for me. From reception to check-out, the people are friendly and courteous. The technicians explain what they are doing and make sure I understand the procedures and am comfortable. I no longer dread going to the dentist.

This morning when I woke up, I was greeted by a very excited dog, who proceeded to jump up and hit my teeth with hers, causing a very broken front tooth. Needless to say, I was pretty upset. I called my usual dentist, but they are closed on Saturdays, so I tried my roommate’s dentist, and by some miracle, an office that is normally closed on the weekends, was open and willing to see me. These amazing people took my broken tooth and made it like new again, and I couldn’t be more thankful. The Dentists Office in Lake Katrine is full of warm, friendly and just absolutely amazing people, and I am so happy a dentists office like theirs exists.

I can’t understand how this place has any good reviews. This is the third time I’ve made an appointment with this place only to not have it in their system. I’ve shown up twice and sat there for over an hour for them to “reschedule” me. I called to double check on my son’s appointment for tomorrow only for the lady to tell me that his name isn’t in the system. How is that when he was seen in September? This place is either so disorganized that it can’t keep track of its appointments or the employees are incompetent to the point that they can’t do something as simple as make an appointment. This is an awful dentist office which is too bad because their dentists aren’t.

My appt has been rescheduled by the dentist office 2 times already. Last appt was on the day they closed for snow. No one calls the appts for that day to say they are closed. Answering service had no clue if they were open. NOW they can't find a new appt until 8/21. Yet new patients can be seen in 4 weeks or less. Seem to only care about business and not patients.

Was awesome from first call. Immediate appointment that day for a new patient. 2 days later scheduled for extraction. Dr Oh and Dr Yu were both fantastic. Lori was awesome during my procedure and the lovely ladies in appointment scheduling couldn’t have been nicer or have more patience with my busy schedule.
