From the outside it doesn't look fancy and being from Europe I was a bit sceptic at first but after my first visit felt at home. I was received professionally by everybody with respect and warmth. My kids and husband are going there as well and we all feel very welcomed.
They have been very professional so far and I am so happy we found this friendly place.

**Poor Dental care and customer service treatment**
I have had two visits to Friendly Dental Clinic in Ballantyne. I had the dentist who examined my teeth and explained to him my dental concerns. Which I don't know if he noted down in my dental records. My next visit was a dental cleaning, and "Kat" cleaned my teeth and from START to FINISH my dental cleaning experience was the
ABSOLUTELY WORST AND PAINFUL EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. I explained to her that I use prescription fluoride toothpaste for teeth sensitivity, and I explained to Kat that I do NOT want to her to use the cavitron (electrical cleaning device) and she continued use the device even though I told her to stop on multiple occasions. The only thing she said was "it is the only thing I use to clean to teeth." I asked her if she could manually use an dental instrument instead, and she was appeared disappointed and frustrated with my request. Lastly, I was not offered or given sunglasses the first time in my dental cleaning EVER, to keep the bright light of the dental hygiene light that was shining in my eyes during the entire encounter with bits of "spittle" all over my face and eyes.
I did email and ask to speak with the manager of the clinic and received NO REPLY. As a result, I have moved my family and children to another dental clinic.
-I was recently seen by another dental clinic and was offered , plastic sunglasses for my dental cleaning and was informed that was a standard procedure to keep the bright light and spittle from getting into the face and eyes of a patient, and the dental hygienist stated that she does not have to use the cavitron unless she has to at the patient's request and can manually clean the teeth. She said it might take a little longer, but patient's comfort is important.
As a retired and disabled veteran, I am ashamed and embarrassed of my experience with Friendly Dental Group of Ballantyne, and expressed my concerns higher. As with most comments posted, I do speak and write English I think rather well, and don't think it is a "language issue" that Friendly Dental Group of Ballantyne can and say should they read this.

Dr. Heidenreich is a very good, kind and courteous dentist. I am very nervous when I have to see a dentist and his friendly demeanor made me feel comfortable. His staff was also very nice and supportive. Thank you, Dr. Heidenreich and staff, for your professionalism and kindness. Why the three stars then? It is because, at the end of my procedure, I've been told very unceremoniously by the front desk receptionist that, as of January 1, my insurance is no longer accepted and I will have to pay for the treatments "out of pocket," her words. The way she communicated with me made me feel offended and uneasy.

Excellent office, friendly staff and very welcoming ! I like many others dread going to the Dentist but thinking they might be able to change my mind. Made me feel very comfortable and explained all procedures needed and cost that accompanies procedures. Recommend highly :) Great job Friendly Dentists of Ballantyne...

Avoid! For background, I've had them do my teeth for a year and a half. When trying to book an appointment last month, I was told that the next available slot was at the end of July. So if you need your teeth looked at within the next half a year, it's best to look elsewhere.

First I went was after cracking two molars, while 7 1/2-months pregnant. They got me in right away, got me out of pain and I wasnt criticized for my lack of previous dental care as it had been a long time since I'd been to the dentist. Dr. Dave and his staff are amazing!!

Absolutely love everyone from the staff to the doctor!! Highly recommended to everyone! Dr. Heidenreich is the gentliest and most caring dentist I've seen in the Carolinas! The staff is always friendly and scheduling is so easy and accommodating.

I am a patient of Friendly Dental. I walked into the office today for a slight emergency problem. I was seen within 5 minutes. The staff and the Dr. are very friendly and helpful. I recently switched to this dental office and I am very happy that I made the change. Exceptional service and a great staff!!!!

I went on July 22 and I was told that my total bill was going to be $280 after insurance and that my insurance was responsible for the rest. They contacted my insurance that day and they gave me a final bill that i paid. Three months later i got billed $33 because it turns out that my insurance did not cover the white fillings. Did they really ask my insurance if the white fillings were included or did they really wanted me to get the work done? I don't think they are honest. Beware before you get anything done with Friendly Dental! The only reason i give them 2 starts is because the dentist was very nice.

This was the ABSOLUTE worst experience I have ever encountered! The dentist was NOT well versed in his experience or knowledge of reading dental xrays. He extracted my tooth and I asked regarding anitibiotics as he stated it was infected and he said no, now the day after the extraction I have an area on my jawbone (mandible) that is swollen and no one at any of these "Friendly Dentist" offices are answering the phone. I recommend NOONE ever uses these offices!
