I made an appointment for my youngest son with down syndrome I was told that they took children they made my appointment I come to the dentist office I sit in the waiting room almost an hour with my children we get to the back room and I’m told they don’t do pediatrics they referred me to another Dennis is what they said they gave me a blank piece of paper with the information they should’ve made it clear that they are not a pediatric dentist office unless emergencies I’ve waited over a month for this appointment and my phone has been hurting so we can’t do anything until I see a pediatric dentistScheduled for another month away entirely and extremely inconvenient of them communication is key

Last Fall I had a tooth that was giving me a lot of pain. I was quoted a price over the phone then when I went in it was more. The woman that cleaned my teeth talked to me as if I was a child. She handed me a pair of plastic safety glasses that looked like they were filled with spit and mentioned how her cleaning tool was kinda crooked. Dr. Shamah come in and told me I had a cavity that needed a re-filling. Come back in another day to get the filling done and he said to me so this is the tooth that's giving you so much pain. He did the filling and he said he had to dig a little deeper than he thought. He talked to me like I was a child too. The next couple days my tooth felt weird. Eventually 2 or 3 months later I developed pain there and an abscess. Went into my new dentist in Lincolnton and he told me my tooth was cracked all the way down to my gum and that it looked like it been like that for "quite AWHILE."Had to have it pulled. My new dentist talks to me with respect and he cares about his patients. This place puts money over the well being of their patient and they talk to you like a child. Do not go here.

They were nice and courteous. However, I am giving this business a 2 stars rating because I had a filling done on my upper tooth there and called 1-2 days later as I was experiencing pain. Can you believe that I was told I neeeed to pay $40 (less with the insurance) to have the dentist look at it ? EXCUSE ME? That's simply unacceptable!! You perform a filling, the right thing to do is take a look at it as it is your OWN WORK without charging the patient to make sure it was either done correctly or that it healed as expected. Soo not ok and it shows how MONEY HUNGRY they can be.

It sucks because I tried to have a dentist at another location looked at it and they WONT do it because they said I needed to go back to the dentist that performed the procedure to follow up on his work..... Obviously I REFUSE to go there anymore or even recommend this place to friends or relatives as I have done already.

Hope this helps. Thanks !!

First Time Appointment. Arrived 25 minutes early as directed for paperwork. (Lots of Paperwork) Over an hour after appointment time and still had not seen anyone and no end of my wait in sight so I left. Appears to be an older facility not well kept. Would not go back.
I had absolute no problem with the early arrival even though most doctors mail or e-mail all that paperwork to a New patient in advance to cut down on the wait time. My problem was with the hour plus wait after my appointment time.

(from girlfriend) Pleasant staff. I think they were short on dentists or dental assistants because I overheard the staff talking about how busy it was and that people were waiting. I understand things happen, but it would have been nice if someone had said that to me while I was sitting in the chair waiting for a while instead of having to overhear them talking about it. The dentist could have been a little friendlier. It was my first time at this office and I expected a little more conversation / feedback about my teeth.

I haven't been to the dentist in years but once I stared going here recently I was no longer scared. The staff is very polite and they get you in and out fairly quickly. Very good dentists that actually take time to explain things and care about the patient. Wonderful place to go. Gastonia office on court dr.
