After a wonderful visit a few weeks ago, my follow up for some pretty urgent work was today. I got a phone call before 8am this morning saying my appointment was cancelled. The dentist had called in sick, which happens some times( day after Christmas is a little suspect, but ok...benefit of the doubt) Rather reschedule me for tomorrow or maybe Monday at the worst....they said they can see me in a little over two weeks!! Why does the appointment from the sick day get put off into the future, and whoever has the appointment tomorrow or Monday or Tuesday get the delay?

At first, I was very unsure about this dentist. I have anxiety for dental procedures that you wouldn’t believe and Dr. Jeffreys (I think that is his name) comes off as have little personality. And personality goes a long way with someone like me, who has so much apprehension when I comes to dentists. But he surprised me. He didn’t treat me like my fears were irrational like other dentists have in the past. He was very understanding and went above and beyond to make sure I had the best experience. I have very bad experiences in the past that has only fueled my fears and all of the staff was super kind and accommodating. I don’t think I could ever use another dentist now. And i did not mention, I have a low tolerance for oral pain, and I have had live nerves in the past (they don’t numb). This was the FIRST dental procedure where I felt NOTHING!!!! Usually I cry from pain during procedures but I cried from joy of knowing I had a pleasant dental experience. And By the way, it’s not like I don’t take care of my teeth, I do very much so because of my anxiety. Bad teeth just run in the family so I unfortunately do everything I can and it just seems in vain sometimes. So all in all, one of the best dentists I have ever come across!!!

Dr. Jeffery is by far the best dentist I have ever seen. I cannot say the same for his billing office. They seem incapable of understanding the importance of doing correct billing and ensuring that insurance payments and other payments are properly and accurately reported on your statement. This makes it difficult to file with my flex plan for reimbursement. Extremely frustrating!
