Murfreesboro Modern Dentistry

My dentist retired and I selected Dr. Giles- Paul at Murfreesboro Modern Dental. My initial visit was awesome. Her entire staff including Mason, Kamron and Erin were very courteous and helpful. Dr. Paul was very intelligent and discussed my treatment plan. I am looking forward to my subsequent dental care from her office!

The beat place i ever been i received the best cleaning. They did great with my crowns. I recommend Dr Giles-Paul to everyone that want a great smile and cares about their teeth. I feel like they are my family. Deserve 100 stars!!

I almost didn’t schedule an appointment because of the reviews, but I’m so glad I did! I’m not sure why so many people had an issue with their visit. It’s almost as if I were waiting for something to go wrong because of the poor reviews. But please don’t let it dissuade you like it almost did me. If there truly were issues, then it definitely appears that the office took these reviews into account and made the necessary changes.
My only complaint is how long everything took, but it’s the first time I’ve seen a new dentist in 16 years, so maybe this is the norm for a new patient. From start to finish, I was there for 2 hours for a cleaning. It could’ve been less, because I waited for 30 minutes before I was taken back, but part of this was because I hadn’t filled out the echart, but that only took about 5 minutes to complete. The dental assistant (Kamryn I think?) was amazing! Super personable and made me feel very comfortable. She was super easy to talk to and explained everything very thoroughly. Next I met Dr. Giles, who was also super friendly and easy to talk to. She checked everything and told me the plan she’d like for me, but at no point did I feel pressured to add on anything my insurance didn’t cover. I really appreciated how it didn’t feel rushed and she was there to make sure all of my questions and concerns were addressed. The options were presented to me, and the cost was broken down and explained as needed by the lady at the front desk. Finally, the dental hygienist Erin did a quick teeth cleaning and was very gentle. All in all, I had a pleasant visit and enjoyed every person I interacted with. I will continue to use this office as long as they’re in network with my insurance.

I initially went because I haven’t gone to the dentist in a while and knew I needed to go. When I went there, the Dr. Told me that I had severe periodontal disease as well as 6 cavities. They wanted me to sign up for a credit card as well as pay roughly $900 out of pocket. I felt like that was a bit sketchy and sought a second opinion. I’m glad that I did because those ~cavities~ were just coffee stains, and I don’t have periodontal disease. If you do go here, please seek a second opinion if they tell you something is wrong.

I am so happy to have come here! I had to end up getting some work done (as what happens when you don’t go to the dentist for a while) and they made sure to be as clear as possible about cost, after care, etc. This is a no judgment zone and I’d recommend to anyone!

*Be careful* I stopped by as a new patient for their cleaning/x-ray special and the experience seemed designed from beginning to end to up-sell me on a 1200$ procedure that they wanted me to do right away at the first appointment (four quadrants of scaling and root planing).

I decided to drive all the way to Nashville for a second opinion from a trusted dentist recommended by a member of my church, and the second dentist said I didn't even need one quadrant of scaling and root planing, let alone all four quadrents.

You can do some quick googling and find that scaling & root planing is a procedure that is often over-prescribed to increase revenue by less-than-ethical dental shops. I'm not saying conclusively that Murfreesboro Modern Dentistry is unethical or intentionally over-prescribing, as I only went there once and I don't know much about them. Personally, I am glad I sought out a second opinion though.

I was in town for work when my crown broke! On a Friday!! I found that Modern Dentistry was a 3 minute drive from my office so I called and got an appt that very day! DDS Giles-Paul and Kamron and Mason were so gracious to stay late on a Friday to take care of me! They were all so wonderful that I wish I lived closer to their practice. They are a joyous and caring team and I'm so glad I was lucky to find their office! And my crown looks and feels great! Thank You!!

These people are incredible! The amount of attention and care they provide to their patients shows. Usually when you walk into an office there's always that one person that you can tell would rather be somewhere else, you don't get that here! Everyone is pleasant an happy to help you. The dental assistant Ashley made x-rays really easy for me and the hygienist (sorry I can't spell her name) literally gave me the best cleaning I've ever received. Dr. Ike took time to explain my treatment and even going over finances I was provided all my options and I chose what worked for my pocketbook without feeling like I made a wrong decision. I've found my forever dentist!

Kamron and Dr. Giles-Paul are amazing!!! Very patient and kind while explaining the work that needs to be done. I need a good amount of work done and neither judged or made me feel badly about it. Great experience
