If I could give this LESS stars, I would!! I first want to start off by saying that I really tried to be patient and understanding and that the front office staff was super nice. This is long winded, but I feel like the detail is important for other potential clients to know - this office wasted hours of my valuable time and then tried to swindle thousands of dollars out of me!
Unfortunately, I have never had a worse experience as a new patient. I made my appointment with Jefferson a little over a week ago, as asked, I filled out all the new patient forms ahead of time to expedite the in-office wait time. I arrived for my 11:30am appointment roughly 5 minutes early and was told that I had to fill out the paperwork again; I re-completed all the forms just as they told me they found the online versions. After that, I waited approximately 35 minutes before I was told the doctors were running behind and there were no open rooms available; I was reassured it would only be a short wait before I would be seen. I wasn’t taken in to start x-rays for another 10 minutes or so. The girl that took me in never introduced herself and just started rushing me through the motions. She completed my x-rays (about 12:40pm) and said a doctor would be in shortly to review.
ANOTHER full hour went by and the office got quiet. I was left sitting in an exam room occasionally being reassured that someone was coming. The doctor came in at about 1:15 never introduced herself, hardly looked at my blurry x-rays and told me my teeth looked great but had a couple small cavities that would need to be addressed. I asked where and if she could show me on the scans and she said they weee so small that it would be hard to tell. She concluded her time with me by telling me that I could benefit from an ortho console for cosmetic purposes.
Another 30+ minutes goes by and the office begins to fill back up; hygienist are blatantly ignore my sitting there (bib on) and talking about how they can’t use room 3 because it’s still occupied. I finally get someone’s attention and let them know that I’m STILL waiting on my cleaning for my 11:30am appointment… the receptionist comes into to review my estimate so that they can proceed. Confused I ask what I’m getting quoted on (I still haven’t met the orthodontist for my “complimentary consult”); she informs me that I have 8 cavities (more than “a couple”) and that my cleaning even after insurance with be at least $450 out of pocket and an additional $2k for the remainder of the services needed.
When I queried her on why my cleaning ( the ENTIRE reason I was there) wasn’t covered, she said “oh it is, but the doctor is recommending a deep cleaning which is not covered… news to me seeing that she barely looked in my mouth and never mentioned it before she hastily ran off. I responded and said that I would just like my regular cleaning and to hold off on any OOP expenses to which I was REFUSED service as it was not what the doctors treatment plan called for. I argued that I wasn’t willing to pay thousands of dollars for a treatment plan that was haphazardly thrown together after nearly THREE hours of waiting and barely seeing a a medical professional for more than 15 nonconsecutive minutes in the entirety of my visit.
Conclusion: I have never felt so bamboozled while trying to seek routine medical care. I received conflicting information, felt like completely disrespected and ignored, then disregarded when I started to ask common-sense questions as a paying client. I urge you to think twice before stepping foot into ANY of the Jefferson Dental and Ortho locations - I specifically picked this one for it’s Dave reviews compared to others and was wildly disappointed. I wish I could be compensated for my valuable time wasted!

Best experience I've ever had as an adult going to the dentist. The staff is super nice, they don't try to sell you on anything. They explain what all your options are. Highly recommend
