Preston Hollow Dental Care

I was very disappointed by this business. When I first when there I got the impression that this was an independently owned dental practice, but after further investigation it is most definitely a corporate entity concerned with making money. Like other reviews said, on my first visit I was told that my dental hygiene was lacking that I needed a deep cleaning and several other costly treatments that were not covered by insurance. The first indicator that this place was a scam was that it was the dental hygienist who was making recommendations about procedures and treatments I needed, not the actual dentist.

I brush and floss everyday and have never received the recommendations made by this practice. I held off on doing any of the costly procedures to see if I could improve for the next visit, but when I came back I got the same story. They made me feel like my teeth were going to fall out of my head.

I decided to get a second opinion from another dentist without telling him any of the issues PHDC told me. His review of my teeth was they were in fantastic condition, no cavities, no bleeding, no gum recession, absolutely no need for a Deep Cleaning whatsoever. When I told him about my experience here, he confirmed it was definitely a scam and that people my age with teeth in my condition have no need for a deep cleaning and that recommending this procedure is used as a money making tool by corporate dentists.

To be fair, the front office staff was pleasant and, except for the lies the hygienist told me, she was also very nice. The Dentist (cant remember her name) just came in quickly, glanced at my teeth, and didn't spend much time going over my treatment, just agreed with what the hygienist said and left.

Avoid this place if you can and if pricey treatments are suggested, get a second opinion.

I'm really glad I chose Preston Hollow. Dr. Cha is very personable and really takes the time to explain everything to you. She does excellent and thorough work. Ms. JoAnne, the dental hygienist is a joy to speak to and is great at her craft. 5 stars!

The front-desk billing/insurance person changed quite often. One person I met are very capable and professional. But the other I met is very incapable and unprofessional, while seeming to be very nice, speaks softly, just has no patience or may not be trained enough to be capable of explaining the treatment options and corresponding costs. She just told me this is your treatment and this is your cost. When I asked her if there are other options, she has no patience but pushed me to the treatment room as the doctor's schedule is busy and was waiting. I have no idea of what are the treatment options and costs.

I guess it all depends which billing/insurance person you end up with. you may be lucky, you may be not.

All persons in this office do seem to be very nice and speaks softly. But first thing first, be capable of doing things. Nice but not capable is meaningless.

Very disappointed in the quality of service at this office. They were never able to diagnose and treat my dental issues and instead just kept selling me on night guards, expensive cleanings (not covered by insurance), referring me to different specialists who couldn't help; all the while incurring billing problems as they exhausted my insurance leaving me in the same dental pain I initially came in with.

I hate going to the dentist, but the staff at Preston Hollow Dental are incredible. Every member of the staff from the front desk, the hygienist, Dr. Cha, and even paying your bill, everyone makes you feel welcomed, safe, and cared for. They give great effort to making sure you are comfortable and informed of the work needed. I have brought three of my children to see Dr. Cha, my youngest being five, and we have all had great experiences. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Preston Hollow Dental runs a pleasant and professional dental office. Dr. Chaw is very thorough, my gums feel a lot healthier. The hygienist Leslie does an excellent job with giving practical tips to work on ar home as well as treatments to ensure healthy teeth and gums. The financial transactions are handled well, every is clearly explained. The dental office is very good about scheduling appointments as well as sending follow-up up text and emails. I was even able to get assistance after hours on the emergency line. Overall great experience.

Excellent service, last week I went in due to terrible pain and Kourtnie was able to bring me in same day. Dr cha and the assistant Cindy took her time and managed to get me out of pain without me feeling any pain at all! (Considering I take a long time for anesthesia to kick in) 😊

These folks were really terrific. They explained everything I needed and made me feel relaxed.
