Abbeville Dentistry

I just transferred from Richardson TX. I was needing a Dentist, and my boss, Josh Kirlin recommended Abbeville to me. When I arrived everyone was nice and friendly from the staff at the front desk to the lady who took my x-rays ( I'm sorry that I cannot remember all their names) My Dr. Consance Wzugha was awesome., and to the lady who came and talked to me about what was needed to be done and gave me a break down of all the pricing. I have found my Dental office to go. Thank You, to everyone Clifford E Breeden Jr.

Extremely professional office. From the time we walked in the door everyone had smiles on their faces and was kind.

Dr. Black is so amazing. In a big chicken about the dentist and pain. He and his staff are so patient and understanding with every step of the dental process. I've never waited, they've always been prompt and respectful of my time. I will use them as long as I stay in odessa

The service from the dentist was acceptable however, after multiple attempts of trying to speak to someone in the finance department, I have yet to receive answers to my calls. I paid for services in full (cash), then later claimed to my insurance. My explanation of benefits shows an over payment on my part after my insurance paid their portion. Meaning I should have a reimbursement that I should have received by now. Services were rendered in October 2014, we are now in January 2015. Any help would be greatly appreciated, it would be nice to have my phone calls returned and my problem addressed. My experience has been very disappointing and unpleasant.

Everyone is so friendly and considerate. They make sure you are taken care of in a timely manner and are professional and well trained. I have never been disappointed in the 3 years I have been going there.

My husband made an emergency appointment at Abbeville Dentistry in Odessa in August of 2015 due to severe pain in one of his lower teeth. They were able to get him in, and told him that he needed a root canal. I was sitting with him while they were prepping everything for the root canal and they started to give him numbing shots. He received 4 shots total. They were about to get started when someone came around and asked how we were paying for the procedure. I told them that it would be on our debit card. She just stood there and waited for me to hand over my card before they would get started. Then, when they actually did start the root canal, my husband felt everything they were doing. He kept telling them that it was painful and she said she couldn't give him anymore shots and that it was just because there was an infection. They ended up stopping because he couldn't take the pain. They wrote a prescription for antibiotics and said it would be better after the infection cleared up. He went back a week or two later to try the root canal again, and once again, he felt everything. They said he would just have to suck it up, so he had an entire root canal and felt the whole procedure from start to finish. If that wasn't bad enough, when he went back for the crown, they told him he had a past due balance on his account from the root canal. He insisted that we had already paid for the procedure and they proceeded to try and shame him for not paying his bills. He paid the remaining balance, cancelled the appointment, and never went back due to their behavior. It also didn't sit right with him that he had felt everything during the root canal and they basically told him to suck it up.
Fast forward to a year later, and he had to see an Endodontist because of pain in the same tooth. The Endodontist is having to redo the root canal because of the hack job that the Abbeville dentist did. He was actually horrified at the work that was done. He said there was still some decay and that he should have never felt any pain during the procedure. Now we are going to be out another $1600 to $1700 to fix what Abbeville messed up. It would be nice if they would reimburse our money so that we could put it towards this procedure, but after the way they handled everything, I won't be holding my breath. My husband's new dentist told him that all of the work that they were trying to do to him, after the root canal, was double what actually needed to be done. They take advantage of people who don't know any better. How was he to know that what they were going to do was overkill? It's a good thing he never went back after cancelling his appointment for the crown that day. I'm sure he would have had much more work than was necessary just so they could bill it out and make money.

Everyone is always very friendly and smiling when you walk in the door. Their dental hygienist, Heather Crump, is always so sweet, clean, and gentle! I do not have any complaints about this office!

Dr. Black was awesome. He actually shows some compassion with his patients. I'd send any of my family or friends to him and his excellent staff.

I just found my new dentist!!! After being with the same dentist for years he retired and I wasn't happy with the new dentist, so lucky after Hearing good things about Abbeville I set up an appointment and was very satisfied with my visit the wait wasn't long at all the staff was Real friendly and welcoming!!! I will highly recommend Abbeville Dentistry to my friends and family!!!
