    Be awere of this money hungry people, they will try to charge you for services that you did not receive or ask. I went to this office and the secretary try to rip off as much as she can to your insurance. After almost 30 min of negotiation, they agree (my insurance and the secretary), in a service/price. Later Gentel Dental, will try to charge extra services to your insurance and if your insurance don't want to pay (for obvious reason), they will try to charge you or put your on collection. This is not the first time they did this to me, the firts time they charge me extra for no reason or service. Very bad bussiness integrity and very poor customer service and i don't recoment this company but if you want to try it, good luck.

    This place is great! Wait times weren't too long and they numbed me good so I didn't feel my cavities being filled. The noise freaks me out but they were so nice and patient with me....thanks! I can't wait for my bleaching trays to come in either, time for my smile to shine ;)

    Very pleasant experience. I was there today and nervous having had a veneer pop of my front tooth last night. Dr Punch was great- honest and direct- and cemented it back on. Dr Punch also took the time to talk to me about the future and how long veneers last.

    The front staff - very nice, even dealing with my insurance which is limited until February 1. It is cheaper insurance and I was upset that my company switched to this lesser plan. I was on an emergency exemption today to get the veneer repaired with said limited insurance. I was nervous about this - and having to go to a new dentist due to the insurance change...

    My uncle is a dentist...My brother a maxillofacial oral surgeon. And I know from stories passed at the Thanksgiving table that patients are not always easy...today I was one of those difficult patients.

    And so, I wish to thank the staff at Gentle Dental - they were so helpful and professional, and all the while I was being a nervous (and difficult) patient. Lastly, this is a business. SF commercial rents are high and one needs to make a decent wage to live in or near this city. The charges at Gentle Dental are very reasonable.

    Not a minute sooner or later. 10am was my appointment time, it’s 11:04 and I’m sitting in the chair - still unaddressed. The first half hour I waited in a lobby with 8 other people.

    There is a pandemic. This clinic was very behind schedule and considerably over booked.

    Had to wait one month for an appointment. When I showed up today for a 10:00 am appointment there were six or seven people already waiting and two more showed up behind me. All waiting for the same appointment, in a tiny little waiting room where there is no possibility of social distancing. ABSOLUTELY UNSAFE ENVIRONMENT. THEY DO NOT FOLLOW COVID-19 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

    From my few experience, I’ve never had any problems. They are professional, fast, and friendly. I would give the a 5 but one time I called and they did not answer. But that happens when you are taking care of the people in the office which I see them doing all the time.

    Money is the driving force of this practice. Not customer service.
    Sent my daughter there in 2014 for braces. 2 years later treatment
    denied due to balance due. Asked billing department at the San Francisco
    office if the 2nd insurance was billed. Referred to Fremont billing office.
    Told by the billing person at the Fremont office that 2nd insurance information was never received by them.
    When I spoke with Delta Dental they claimed that they never received a reply from Gentle Dental regarding the 2nd insurance. I filled a grievance with Delta Dental and they paid the 2nd insurance payment. Now I with that resolved reached out to the Mission Street office, the Fremont office and there corporate billing person regarding payments that i have made and requesting a refund. Now no one wants to help me or give me an answer. I have been given the run around.

    I've been here twice already, and each time I have great service. Dr. B (his name is a lot longer) is amazing. He's really nice and makes sure you understand what's going on. He also likes to talk about 'Scrape Escape,' I won't spoil it haha,but when you visit, ask him (: the Orthodontist (whose name is also long) is so sweet ! He made me less nervous about getting braces and explained to me why I needed them and what I needed to do. José, is also amazing. He's an assistant I believe and does a good job ! All the women at the front are so sweet and don't make taking the time to talk about your insurance or whatever other questions you have. I hate the dentist, doctors in general lol, but I love going here. Wouldn't trade them at all (:

    The dentist that saw and cared for me was nice but one of the front desks was terrible,rude and arrogant.I remember one instance that somebody from them called me up for an appointment that never happened.They did not bother to cancel it at least and even answered rudely to me when I told them they have set the said appointment for me to go there that very day.I have canceled their services already but last night they called me again for a hygienist care and when I told them about my cancelation of their services since last year they said they know nothing of it and hang up on me rudely.

    Extremely unprofessional. In 3 years I still haven't been able to have an appointment for what I wanted. They always cancel or reschedule last minute and try to get you other procedures to charge you extra. Very disappointing.
