Pacific Heights Dental

So many amazing details as to why they should have a 10 star rating for above and beyond experiences like I had with Dr Hall today at Pacific Heights Dental. I called today for a “new patient” emergency. I had a bad infection, tooth that obviously had to come out and pain on the extreme side. My dentist retired during The pandemic and after a painful sleepless night of reading dental reviews, PHD was my top choice and was my first call this morning at 8am. They were so nice ( great start) and fit me right in due to the pain. Dr Hall removed the tooth, put in a bone graph, got me on antibiotics all before 11am. I can see a practice “jumping on it” if you are a valued longtime client but I had literally never expected I would find someone that was that caring for a newbie. Dr Hall is warm, kind, sooooo competent and not only a great dentist but also a simply lovely human being. Josh her right hand guy is amazing as well. I am a client now for life and feel so very fortunate to have found them.

I have been going to Pacific Heights Dental for 46 years, so has my wife, and before they moved away from home, our children.

After climbing the steps of the Victorian building that houses the dental offices, one enters a light and comfortable waiting room, with the staff behind a window. I have always found the staff friendly and helpful.

I have had several hygienists over these years, all of them capable and friendly. I’ve been using Teena for a number of years now. I like the strength she uses, stopping short of being a construction worker, but making my mouth feel clean and fresh.

My dentist in this practice has been Dr. Thomas Kuhn for the entire 46 years. I find him very personable, and after all these years he feels like a friend. The few times I had to see a different dentist for whatever reason, I was pleased with the work done to me, but I always went back to Dr. Tom. Even one of my hygienists complimented his work.

The practice likes to use the newest and best equipment. One example is the newest x-ray machine that reduces the amount of those rays and lets the dentist and me see the images right away. A second is the camera that he uses to take pictures of my teeth, so I can see just what he had done. And third, I recently had a filling that needed novacaine, or whatever chemical they use today. After using a topical anesthetic, Dr. Tom got the needle in my mouth. I kept fearing that the needle would hurt, but it never did, because the topical was so effective.

I know many people dread going to the dentist. Because of my decades going to this office, I am not among them.

I've been going to Pacific Heights Dental for over 20 years which ought to tell you something! Tina, who works there, has been cleaning my teeth for the longest time and is the consummate pro. She's got a great touch and is incredibly thorough. Dr. Jacobsen– well, I hope he never retires. He teaches as the dental college and should– he's the best. He's got a wealth of knowledge, incredible demeanor, is practical and a pleasure to talk too. Parking in the area is challenging, but I always manage to find a spot and the office will even feed your meeting if time runs short! If you don't have a dentist check PHD out!

I have been coming to Pacific Heights Dental for years. They are amazing. Dr. Jacobson is a true artist. Always informing you of what he is doing as he is doing it. The two hygienists I’ve seen have both been excellent. I am moving from SF but will return every six months for my cleaning. A rare find in dental offices.

I felt like a was just a buck to them. No friendly banter. Just sit down, open your jaws, take a grinding on your gums, get shilled invisilign braces, and only if you ask do you get a real
medical opinion.

Dr. Erikson was not gentle at all. Felt the teeth cleaning deep in my nerves. Pain like I never felt before. Avoid this place and their supposed high reviews. I felt like piece of meat. Next.

Mindy is the best dental assistant I have ever had. I HIGHLY recommend her. The entire office is taking COVID precautions very serious for the safety of their patients and staff. I would highly recommend anyone who is putting off going to the dentist to go here. Everyone is always very friendly and welcoming!

Great dental service! I love the natural light that each examination space has, with most of them looking out on the back garden. For me this is very relaxing. The staff are great and my husband has been going here for years and years. I definitely recommend Pacific Height Dental.

I had 4 cavities filled today and they do such a great job, my Apple Watch thought I was sleeping during it. Highly recommend them for all things teeth related !

I have been to many dentists over my many years but never have I found such a quality patient-centered office. I look forward to my visits. Every person from the amazing Barbara at the front desk to the skilled dental technicians to the knowledgable dentists, are able to answer questions and explain the complexities of dental physiology so that I can make decisions. And the offices are beautiful with wood beams and large windows and skylights looking out into live gardens.

Just had two fillings with not a bit of pain.
Complete attention. Better than my hair dresser, can you imagine?

Excellent dental care. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Dr. Aja Hall and her associates care about doing a really great job. I have been going here for almost two decades and actually enjoy my visits. Very clean, good Covid standards, great music, nice ambiance, super pleasant and caring dental assistants, and staff.
