My favorite thing about Pacific Heights Dental is that every practitioner I have seen here over the years has been very patient and open with explaining every aspect of what they are doing and why. Plus the office is in a beautiful Victorian with skylights which let in lots of calming natural light.

When I first started going to Pacific Heights Dental over 35 years ago, Dr. Jacobsen and Dr. Kuhn were dentists beyond compare in their skill, professionalism, genuine care, wisdom, dedication to dentistry and kindness. As they are now transitioning to retirement, they have found an equal partner, Dr. Hall, to their skill, professionalism, genuine care, wisdom, dedication to dentistry and kindness. In addition, the in-house services now include a full array of areas of dentistry - root canals, tooth implants, teeth straightening - each with the same quality as before and the expertise of gentle, knowing hands to accomplish magnificence. This team has expanded for the benefit of everyone’s greater well-being. Change is hard and when the outcome enhances all that was before into something even greater for health and well-being, it is noteworthy and actually truly amazing.
Now with COVID and my confidence in their skills and attention to every detail, I dared to go to my teeth Cleaning yesterday. It was fantastic as they showed me how to be OCD clean and careful and still run a business in the time of COVID. That was my first big adventure beyond Shelter In Olace, the grocery and a walk. It was magnificent!
Now it is August 2021. PHD is just as careful to keep us safe from the now Delta Covid variant, continuing with temperature taking and update on health questionnaire every visit. Thank you for being careful. But more importantly, I now experienced having a crown procedure with Dr. Erickson this time. Her hands are as careful and adept as Dr. Hall, as well as her dentistry skills. The approach is done with the latest equipment which adds a new experience to the procedure, as though easier for me as a patient, a lighter process. My new crown fits into my lower molar better than I have ever experienced before. The new technology and the high skills of this dental office are beyond compare.

I have been going here since about 2004. In all that time I've been greeted by the same wonderful people when I arrive and have had the same hygienist. That type of turnover is very rare. My original dentist left the practice and I then started seeing Dr. Kuhn, one of the founding members of this practice. While they've recently changed their name and there are some new dentists, I continue to go back because of the good work they do, their conservative approach, and the kindness and continuity of their staff. Don't be put off by their scripted centralized phone service. The actual people in the office are genuine and not scripted.
