I was very pleased with my dental work. They have a lot of patience with their clients. They tell you in detail the procedures and how to care for your teeth and gums after the procedures. They tell you how long the procedure will take. I highly recommend the San Leandro Dental Studio

Don’t come here if you have Medi-Cal insurance. I think it’s funny that they have a little sign that says they proudly accept Medi-Cal patients because I’m sure I would’ve had a better experience if I had better health insurance they were more favorable to. I was seen for a cleaning and a routine exam and they told me I needed a deep cleaning and two cavities filled. Then they said I needed to pay $800 to start the services that day. They just assumed Medi-Cal wouldn’t cover it and wanted to charge me for it. I asked them if they could authorize it with my insurance first to see if I would have to pay less out of my own pocket. Then I had to go back and forth with Dr. Azita because she said they can’t do that. Then the assistant tells her they can do that actually. She was rude and then told me I was done for the day and could leave. I asked the assistant when they would send the authorization to my insurance and he said it would be sent that day and it would take 4-6 weeks for Medi-Cal to let me know. This was a lie because when I contacted my insurance they said it takes 5-7 days and that it still hadn’t been sent. This was back in February. I followed up with the office several times so they could send the authorization and each time they told me they would. The last time I called, they were rude because they lied and said it had already been sent, then they hung up on me when I was still talking. I even had my insurance call them and the office said they would try to send it soon. Anyway, it’s been 2 months now and they never sent the authorization so I’ve decided to look for another dentist. Again, DON’T COME HERE IF YOU HAVE MEDICAL THEY WILL NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.
