I used to love this office, but they have gotten much worse since Dr. Sweeney left. Today I waited almost an hour to be taken back, and then they were trying to charge me almost $500 without really explaining why. I recommend going just about anywhere else for your dental needs.

Im sorry to see bad reviews. I had a nice experience at the dental office. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had to get an extraction and Dr Tolmie did an amazing job. I did'nt feel any pain. Pricing seem reasonable with my insurance and they even offer payment plans.

Broke my tooth and needed day of emergency care. They fit me in and they quite quickly solved my pain. All the staff were awesome. I recommend . Also fairly reasonably priced as I don’t have dental insurance

Highly recommend to stay away from this place. Unprofessional and they have zero respect for the time of their patients. I booked an appointment specifically for a cleaning and even called the day of the appointment to confirm that I would be able to get a cleaning.
They gave me an exam and then after talking to a dentist for a little bit about my dental history I was told that they can’t do the cleaning today they don’t have time. Completely defeated the whole purpose of my appointment.

DO NOT GO!! This was the worst dentist experience I’ve ever had! I visited dentists at Midtown (seen by Veronica Davila) to fix a small chip in my tooth. After taking X-rays the dentist said I had 3 severe cavities in addition that needed fillings. They quoted me $555 per cavity. I told them I would like to get a second opinion and the finance advisor was very rude in response to that.
I ended up letting them do a cleaning and fix my small chip. This cost $629! After the novocain wore off, the chip they fixed did not feel right and it was very rough. (I had to go see another dentist to fix this, which took him 1 minute to shape it and make it perfect)
The second dentist I visited also found that I HAD NO CAVITIES! To make it worse he found that I suffer from grinding at night, which shows through recession on my gums (visible on the xray) So not only did the Midtown team completely miss the real issue I have but they tried to convince me that I needed 3 fillings!
In conclusion their team is either performing malpractice scams in order to make money out of their new clients or is so incompetent that they don’t know what a cavity (most common tooth issue) looks like!
Finally I tried to contact the team to discuss this issue and they never even got back to me!!

Looking to get scammed!! BIG RED FLAGS the whole time. Make an appointment for a cleaning and visit with Christopher Kerr Tolmie! Unforgettably horrible dentist experience! Don't care for the patient. Care to scam $. First time at this dentist as I moved near by. Only speaking to Christopher for no more than 4 min and barely looking at my teeth he somehow developed a plan of over $5000 without insurance and $1208 with insurance for preventative care needed items for 3 things. First was a mandatory cleaning every 3 month for in-between teeth cleaning (regular dentist visitor, never heard this BS before) of course not coved by insurance and A crown for a small chip, and a silver filling replaced that has a cavity starting. I went with his games and waited for the lady to come in and clean my teeth and then next dentist round get a second opinion. But then a rude lady comes in and tell me my plan and changes/what will be owed today. Completely clueless lady and I had to correct to explain the items the doctor said. I informed her I just wanted my cleaning and that was it. I was told I would have to pay for the cleaning because I don't get the "free cleaning for healthy teeth". I then took off the bib and left. Payment showing 0 as insurance covered the X-ray and Exam. Today I receive a bill for $528. For someone to take xrays for 15 min. a doctor looking to extort people out of their money for a 5 min. talk and waiting in the chair for over 40 min. and no cleaning. Don't waste your time, this place is a joke. Without insurance you can go to Sobe Smiles (highly rated) on the Beach and pay around $100 for cleaning/xrays. Makes no sense the games being played here.

Dr. Roig the periodontist is a not only a great guy, but extremely knowledgable and considerate of your time and money. He wrote me a note on my phone of what to say to the hygenist to prevent getting overcharged. Will be seeing him again if any issue arises.
