Dentists at Midtown

After realizing that I needed to do a root canal from a prior dentist which I was not impressed with, I found Dentists At Midtown and God was really looking after me because I could not be happier!
First I have multiple sclerosis and disabled which limits my movement so I was apprehensive before I arrived. I had previously spoken to Kim Bonairt, Manager, who welcomes you into the office. She was very friendly and helped me become at ease! My temperature was taken and questioned about Covid-19 proximity etc. I also met Laura Gil, Dental Assistant who also answered any other questions I had! She was also very friendly and understanding. Additional scans were taken of my teeth for a 3D look at my root canal tooth.

My new dentist, Dr. Christopher Tolmie, explained that another tooth needed a crown to prevent future root canal. Hallelujah!!! A dentist who thoroughly explains my dental wellbeing! I was able to stay on my Electric Wheelchair because the back can go down and he did all the work without having to transfer me to the dental chair!!
He patiently injected oral anesthesia and counted to 5 which he previously told would be the amount of time for each injection. Two locations needed to be anesthetized. He then proceeded to give me a half mouth deep cleaning to make sure my tooth that needs root canal is ready for temporary crown.

My next appointment will comprise of other half deep cleaning and permanent ceramic crown on 2nd tooth as well as root canal performed by the root canal specialist! Including permanent ceramic crown on root canal tooth.

The temporary crown was expertly prepared by Chambine Gustave, Dental Assistant. We swayed to 80’s, 90’s, Bruno Mars and Beyoncé music while waiting on crown!! She later glued on my temporary crown and polished my teeth.

I was obviously very impressed with the whole Dental staff!! They are all very professional and very friendly!!!

I highly recommend this wonderful experience to anyone who is still afraid of the dentist. Your fears will be diminished!!!

Unprofessional staff with attitude from the first moment. My appointment was at 1:30 for simple cleaning and at 2:45 while I am waiting the whole time they tell me the apt is at 3pm. They didn’t inform me that as a new patient I needed to be there 2/3 hours. In additional unprofessional dentist as well who didn’t fix anything instead had an attitude -which makes it worse. on top of it all complicated process of signing papers while in dental chair. We are not in 1995. Terrible.

Loved my first visit at the Dentists of Midtown! Dr. Sweeney and the whole team were so kind throughout the whole process and I had the most thorough exam I ever went through. They have the most modern tech dental equipment that shows all my x-rays in real time. I was honestly a little nervous because it had been awhile since I visited the dentist, but they did not judge or criticize, only wanted to see what can be done to improve!

Staff needs to inform patients of there location practices before making them go thru appointment set ups and sending over all of my personal information. I called for a root canal I was very clear only to be told it was a consultation after getting to the office. What a waste of time.

Dr. Sweeney and her staff provided nothing but perfection for my dental care! This was my first time at the office and they treated me with so much kindness and intricate care. I appreciated that they made sure to explain in detail the work they were going to do and constantly checked in to see how I was feeling. I am definitely looking forward to making them my primary dental care facility in Miami.

The best dental experience ever! The staff is attentive, compassionate, and they treat you like an actual human being. The entire staff- from the doctors to the receptionist, work together to make the experience enjoyable and seamless. Dr. Tolmie is amazing at addressing your concerns and then mapping out several dental plans that best suit your needs. My family and I will be coming to this office for as long as we can.

Don't be fooled by the fake 5-star reviews. This is not a good dental office. The hygienist does very superficial work. She quickly runs the ultrasound plaque remover through your mouth and then basically polishes the tip of your teeth a little. After the cleaning, you can feel with your tongue where the plaque was partially removed. I had to go to another dentist for another cleaning. The dentist is not much better. He did a filling and I immediately started collecting food between the teeth. I had to have that fixed too. The other dentist was shaking his head when he looked at it on the x-ray...

Dr. Tolmie and his team were amazing! I was very impressed with how modern the office tech is as well! I spent three hour there on one day, and 5-1/2 the very next day, for a marathon session (deep cleaning, root canal, scan, crowns, etc) -- not too bad!! Everyone was super professional and nice, including the front desk. They solved problems my previous dentist did not identify. I'm super happy with my visit, so glad I found them!!!

I’ve been to this dentist for over a year and never been disappointed. Doctor Tolmie and his team always took really well care of my dental cares and are very flexible. It’s the best when you don’t have to take a half day off to take care of your little tooth :).
It was complicated to find a good doctor when You are new in the city and I don’t regret my choice ;).

Well, dont be confused by some negative reviews, we all have been visiting the same place, and paying a visit to the dentist is never a pleasant experience, however, I've done a lot of procedures here, 1 extraction, 1 implant and 6 crowns. Have I gone thru discomfort? OH YES, have Dr Tolmie and Dr. Roig treated me well and took care of all my problems, ABSOLUTELY. I want to thank every one at the office because I had the best outcome and now I have my smile back. Dr Tolmie and his assistance has been the best thing that ever happened to me. Do I recommend this office for your dental needs? STOP SEARCHING AROUND AND COME IN ALREADY.
