Tomoka Family Dentistry

My husband and I both visited this office three years ago. They filled cavities in both of us. My husbands fillings were done so poorly they had to be fixed three times. Six months later when my filling fell out I knew better (thanks to my husbands terrible experience) and had it fixed elsewhere.

Now, three years later I have received a bill for services three years ago. They claim that they gave the insurance company a refund and that we owe the amount they refunded the insurance company but upon reviewing the bill there is a charge for dental services at a time when we didn't even live in the same city. I live in a different state. We have spent a great deal of time communicating with the inept employees at the office trying to rectify their billing errors. After promising us verbally that they had fixed the problems they caused in our bill we received a notice from a collection agency seeking payment plus fees. In all honesty, it has now been resolved and they wrote off the erroneous charges. But the fact that I have spent countless hours years later trying to clear up a bill that should never have been generated is proof of the quality of service you will receive from this office.

Do yourself a favor and find a different dentist.

I am a new customer to Tomoka Dentistry and a happy one. I have had many teeth issues through out the years and have seen many different dentists and have had malpractice, to just bad customer service but I am happy I found Tomoka Dentistry to help with all my dental needs!! Fast and friendly!

This was the best dental experience I've had. Me and everyone in my family LOVE her and would never go to anyone else. Dr. Schimenti is very nice and you can tell she knows what she's doing. I got bonding done on my teeth and a cavity filled. I didn't feel a thing and she was done in no time. I know that I can trust Dr. Schimenti unlike some other dentists who just over prescribe treatment to make money.

Buyer beware. Bad experience. Me and my family will definitely not return. They lured me in with the $89 "special" and after exposing me to a hours worth of radiation (no joke, like 15 X-rays plus fancy imaging and regular photographs?) they insisted that I needed the $600 "deep" cleaning (aren't they all supposed to be deep cleaning? LOL). I get my teeth cleaned every 6 - 12 months, the are in good shape. First they said they could not do a "regular" cleaning on me, that would be too dangerous. But when I said I was not spending $600 they changed their mind and did a 10 min poor "regular" cleaning that they rushed me through to get me out of their office. Is this ethical? Sure felt like I got robbed of $89.

Tomoka Dental has been great! Some of the staff has changed from a year ago, so if you weren't happy, please try them again! Dr. Schimenti is the best dentist around. I have had veneers and bonding done on my front teeth, 3 other times at other dental offices and they never look right in color or shape. Since I liked Dr. Schimenti, I decided to redo my 2 front veneers. I am finally happy with my teeth and smile! The color and shape is perfect yet natural looking. No more self conscious smile! The hygienists do a great job as well.

Always the best experience! Staff members are professional and friendly . Medical Staff does everything to make you feel at ease for any procedure. Always leave feeling as good or better than when I arrived!

My first visit to Tomoka Family Dentistry. Heather and Dr. zinger were very patient and kind to me. They explained each process completely. They did not allow me to be uncomfortable at all.

Heidi and Dr Schimenti was absolutely AMAZING. They both made my root canal process relaxing and fast. They kept making sure I was okay and was VERY VERY gentle with my teeth. This was my first ever root canal and the process was not as bad as everyone makes it seem. Thank you ladies.
