I was forced to find a new dentist after being a patient of my former dentist for over 10 years. Because they decided to No longer accept my ( Metlife ) insurance which by the way is a excellent insurance to have. So I looked up who accepts Metlife in my area and a few Were listed . after some research I decided to go to Tomoka Family Dentistry. And all I can say is thank you to my former dentist for No longer accepting my insurance. And having me forced to find a new dentist. My first visit was great at Tomoka family dentistry . In all my years of going to a dentist never once did any ever check the inside of my oral cavity and preform a cancer screening . Thank You very much , and did a detailed cleaning . again thank you. Actually I could not be more happier that my former dentist No longer accepted my plan. And that I have found a new dentist . Im looking forward to my next appointment in 2020. This Dental facility is the very best I have ever experienced. Thier professional dental technicians could not be any better. Thier DMD Christina, explained every detail related to all the Xrays that were taken and precisely what is needed to help getting back to having my teeth back to being very healthy again and being able to able to be happy and proud of my dental health. Dr. Schimenti is awesome!! This is the most thorough exam I have ever had. I felt important and not like just a "number". They participate with my insurance AND also offer discount plans for some my family that don't have the insurance coverage (which is so helpful). I had to have a crown and even the temporary was perfect! You are made to feel like family from the moment you walk in; there's snacks, coffee, a nice tv area and even toys for the kids. If you need a caring, well priced, all around great family dentist-this is the place to go!!!

My wife and I went in with a coupon for initial new patient cleaning exam and x-rays. The entire time I was in there I felt like I was being "hustled". I was told I needed thousands of dollars of dental work even though my previous dentist saw nothing just six months before. They up-sell you on treatments like "oral cancer screening", which should be part of the regular exam. They also try to sell you on fluoride treatments, etc. I was told I had crowns that were suspect and should be removed, even though they have caused me no problems or have any evidence of decay. I would recommend staying far far away from this office.
