I have always gone to the dentist every six months for a cleaning. Unfortunately I have the worst teeth in the world. I’ve tried three different dentists since moving to Florida in 2005. I’ve had five root canals and six crowns. My bite has been off for over ten years. Last year I lost a tooth that was an old root canal. I’m not a candidate for an implant. It’s a horror story. After the loss of my tooth I needed to try a different dentist. I have severe anxiety going to the dentist. I met with Dr. Chopra to discuss my history and to see if she can help me. Dr. Chopra has been amazing!! She has performed miracles. Not only has she installed three more crowns with out causing me to get a root canal but she has fixed my bite!! I have zero pain. She has two more crowns to do. I’m stuck with the missing tooth unfortunately but it’s okay. I’m beyond grateful to Dr. Chopra. I even told her how much I loved her!! I’m still scared to go to the dentist but the entire staff is comforting to me & helps ease my anxiety. I see reviews that complain about Cross Water dental being pricey but Dr. Chopra is priceless to me. I see reviews complaining about insurance issues. I didn’t have any issues with first Cigna & then Principal. My husband & father-n-law also go to Cross water. When my children are ready to switch from pediatric dentist then I’ll switch them to Dr. Chopra. I pray she never moves!!

Favorite dentist. Excellent and professional service throughout the whole experience. From the phone to arriving at the welcome desk to the hygentists and the Dr taking good care to the checkout. ..comfortable, caring and professional staff.

Called at 7:30 am (when normally open) and talked to admin. New to the area so would be a new patient. I was told appointment could be made after a week (due to Covid-19). I told them I lost a crown the day before and needed to see someone immediately. The admin agreed to talk to the manager or dentists and would get back to me. No one called by 10:30 am so when I called back, was told this was not an emergency so they would not see me for at least a week. Not acceptable to have to wait for response when they were not going to see me anyway.

I had a crown (temporary step) and a cavity filled. I was very nervous. They gave me a warm blanket, noise canceling headphones with HGTV as distraction, and nitrous oxide. The procedure is never super fun, but they did everything to make it as pleasant as possible.

I’m giving CDC a 2/5 based on the overall experience. The cleaning was a 5/5, but my overall impression had me feeling frustrated. The cleaning was easy, and quick. I thought my dental hygienists did a phenomenal job. What was concerning was the amount of selling they do throughout the cleaning process. I was told the fluoride treatment would be covered - it wasn’t. So when I went to check out I was told I owed $25. I’ve never had to pay anything at a dentist, so I immediately felt taken advantage of. During my appointment they also tried to get me to stay longer than normal to get sealants placed on my teeth to prevent cavities. I’ve never had a cavity in my life and my wife was given the same recommendation 3 weeks earlier. I explained I didn’t have time - needed to get back to work. I was then pushed to just get it done now/ASAP as if it was life threatening and I told them I’d think about it, but today isn’t the day. The “business lady” then asked me if I knew why they were recommending sealants, and I told her I was listening - it’s because they will prevent cavities. And she proceeded to say good and am I sure I don’t want to get it done today. I just felt like I was at a car dealership. Sad. Unsure if I’ll return with the amount of “add ons” they try to push.

UPDATE: 3/5
After speaking with the Manager of CWD I felt heard and appreciated her feedback and the fact she'll address these concerns with her staff. I will be giving CWD another shot on my next cleaning and appreciate the fact the leadership took the time to speak with me over the phone.

Update 2020–
Very disappointed. I went on an 18 month mission trip which required me to have all dental work done. I got a filling here and 3 months later, on my mission trip, I went to floss my teeth, pulled down lightly and the entire filling in my mouth popped out. I had to go and get it fully replaced while on my mission.

Also, my sister was told that she had all her cavities filled by Crosswater. My sisters teeth continued to hurt so my mom took her to a different dental office, which said that there were many deep cavaliers that were never filled.

If you really want to see what people are saying about this office, go to the neighborhood app for Nocatee/Palm Valley/PVB. We aren’t the only family who has had bad service. I will say though that the lady who cleaned my teeth was amazing. Other than that, all other dental care —RUN!!!!!

The dentists, dental assistants and receptionists were friendly, efficient and excellent in their work. I would recommend them highly to anyone in the area. I just had a tooth capped and the entire procedure was basically painless.

Friendly, helpful, patient, gentle and very capable staff. I tend to be nervous at the dentist but the staff is able to " talk me down". I would definitely recommend this office for all your dental needs

Great Hygienist and Dentist however their billing is not accurate. I have had two cleaning appointments, and both times have had to call due to issues with the bill. I hope they fix their billing so we can continue to go here.
