Dr. B & his staff are by far the best group of ppl I've dealt with in a adfiice setting such as this. There are no words tp describe what they do to make every situation right no matter whose at fault. They have always gone above and beyond to appeals their patients.

I cannot say enough good things about our family's experience with Dr. Baxter. While we were on vacation in Maui in Oct 2014 my 7 year old daughter unfortunately ended up with an abscessed front tooth and thus needed an extraction. After the run around from a clinic in Kauai, then the hospital there in Maui, we finally found Dr. Baxter. Not only did he (himself!) answer my call on a SUNDAY afternoon, he then met us to complete the extraction that SAME day. After a week of runaround, Dr. Baxter's true concern for our daughter's infection (and our now very interrupted vacation) was a breath of fresh air.
Our great experience made us with Dr. Baxter could be our home town dentist. He was patient, kind, and very great with handling our 7 year old in highly stressful situation.

Dr.Baxter took out my wisdom teeth for me! I was (really) nervous abut it, but he was able to keep me calm through the whole process! He was so kind about everything. Seriously probably the best dentist alive... wouldn't trust anyone else with my teeth to anyone else after coming to see him!

I have to start by saying I’ve always been super anxious about going to get my teeth cleaned and checked up. It can be so bad that a year or two will go by and I don’t go because I dread it so much.

I went this past Monday to face my fears and although at first I was so nervous, Emily (the hygienist) and Dr Baxter made me feel super comfortable and put a lot of my fears to rest. They not only clearly know the profession so well but they also know people.

I’m finally for the first time in my life looking forward to turning the corner and getting my teeth in great shape. I know next time I go that I can just relax and let them do what they do. So happy I didn’t let my anxieties hold me back, I would have missed out on a super awesome experience I’ll probably never forget.

We found Dr. Baxter at Kahului Dental in Kahului, by way of a sports injury. 5:30pm I get a call informing me that my daughter was hit in the mouth and her front tooth was broken and her lip was split. This is the second trauma to this tooth that had already undergone an emergency root canal and a temporary composite rebuild from a previous injury. To make matters worse, we leave for the mainland the next day for a world's level cheer competition. Cari at Pedodontics was so helpful in trying to reach out to the local dentists for help...offices were closed. Our endodontist, Dr. Yee was so helpful as well. Cari was able to talk to Dr. Baxter who offered after hours care. Thank God!! He was so accomodating and gave us the option of coming in immediately or first thing tomorrow morning. We went immediately. From the moment we walked thru his door, we were greeted with compassion and assurance. He has the most pleasant bedside manner and he took our daughter to the back and told us to make ourselves at home...we were the only ones there of course. In the time it takes for a regular office visit, she emerged with her beautiful smile restored! Amazing! Dr. Baxter is an artist with the reconstruction of her tooth. The shape and the color of the composite "filling" was a work of art. You'd never know it wasn't her real tooth. He even modified her mouth guard so it would fit her new tooth. After hours care, extended weekday hours and I think he even mentioned Saturday appointments once a month or so. Exactly what Maui needs! A true blessing. Thank you!!!

Everything I have needed to get done, they have been able to assist me with. Always accepting new patients. They respond promptly and have great availability. Their customer service is excellent. Facilty is very clean. Not once have I been dissapointed. I believe they are one of the best Dental Offices in Maui.

Dr Baxter has seen both my son and I for emergencies and is an excellent dentist! They occured on a friday afternoon both times, and he made time for us with a smile!!

Kahului Dental is one of the best dental groups on Hawaii or the mainland. Dr. Chien did my root canal and she is fantastic. My root canal was a challenge, but Dr. Chien handled it with ease. The support staff are friendly and great.

I am so happy I came across this place! My kids were so comfortable and are actually very excited to see the dentist again next time. It was my 3 year old's first time! It was the best dental experience I've ever had.

Everyone was super nice and friendly and very competent. I will recommend Dr. Baxter and his staff to anyone that needs a great dentist on Maui.
