I would have given a 5 star if the woman at the front desk (possibly Hispanic) with a black braid down her back was more welcoming and not so rude.

Great place and great service.Staff are super friendly and they also take care of your dental insurance so you don't have to worry about that. Overall, perfect experience.

I was a happy customer for many years – in fact, the dentists here always did a great job for me. That said, I am no longer a patient because the level of service from the office staff really took a plunge around 2020.
I was put through things like:
*Having an appointment cancelled with a day or two's notice
*Being told there were no slots for appointments for sometimes 6-month stretches(?!) but that they would call me if any opened up, which they never ever did (rather suspicious, no?)
*Having an appointment cancelled when I arrived 10 minutes late, after I called them en route saying I'd be about that late and they said it was fine
*Having to re-file the same forms over and over for reasons that were never clear.
When I left in response, they made transferring my records to my new dentist rather onerous – I guess that's the door hitting me on the way out.
In fairness, the pandemic has affected a lot of places and maybe that can explain some of it. On the other hand, my new dentist has no problems like this even post-pandemic, and I know a few other now-former patients who say and have done the same. It's too bad and I hope they can turn it back around here.

I am usually uncomfortable about going to the dentist, but this visit was very different. Dr. Faught made me feel very comfortable and was able to do my procedure with ease. His staff was also very courteous!! I will definitely recommend him to everybody in the future!!

I have been to a lot of dental offices but I have to say Illini Smiles is the best in Champaign: staffs are really friendly and Dr. Xu is both professional and patient, also he is one of the few doctors who is capable of doing implants in this small town. I really enjoyed my treatments here.

Very friendly and prompt staff. Had a pleasant experience getting my teeth cleaned. They are very clear about insurance and copay and don't give you surprises on the bill.

I’ve had only good experiences at Illini Smiles. They are professional and quick. They helped me with a cleaning, a couple cavities, and getting a new retainer made.
