Very friendly staff. Everyone chips in to help at the front desk so things run smoothly. Hygienists are super friendly and did a great job.
Also, first time in years of going to dentists elsewhere (TX, CO, AZ)...got a goody bag of toothpaste, floss, and a toothbrush after my appointment!

The team at Illini Smiles is absolutely fantastic! I have been to many dentists from Ortho, Specialty, and general and they are the nicest and most down to earth people so far. I went in very nervous for my first visit and my dental hygienist was the nicest lady! I felt immediately at ease and felt comfortable enough to actually be honest and upfront about my history and concerns with my teeth. She was very thorough and honest, helping me understand more about my problem areas, where I was doing well, and areas I could improve on and how. The doctor was also very friendly, kind, and also understandable with his communication of areas he wanted to look into, watch, and those he wanted to act on immediately. His explanations made very simple sense to me with the treatment I would need as well as why I needed it so soon.
I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist!

I really liked my experience. Everyone was very nice and professional. I don't like going to the dentist at all. Really avoid it. But they made the experience as nice as possible. The only thing I will say was that I had no idea I had to pay that same day. I just assumed it was like the doctor's office and they would send a bill just like any other place does. I wish someone would have stated before I made the appointment that it is their policy to pay same day for my portion. I was just blindsided by having to pay $148 or I couldn't get the procedure done. I'm glad I had just got paid and I could afford it. $148 may not be a lot to some people but to me it is, and I just felt like someone should have said something to me about that. Other than that, I had a great experience. I highly recommend Illini Smiles. I will definitely tell everyone about them.

I had an great experience! I’ve never had surgery or a procedure done before so I was scared and jumpy to say the least. The woman that was assisting my doctor kept me calm the whole time, I just feel sorry for her hand! My doctor was great too! Talked me through it the whole time and made it as quick as possible! Such an empathetic staff!!

Kindness and compassion go a long way in the medical field. I had my first appointment there yesterday and was rather embarrassed at how long it had been since I had last been to the dentist. I made it clear money was an issue for me with treatment because of my loss of insurance and they worked with me the best they could. I received a discount and they were unbelievably compassionate and understanding. Dr. Xu was wonderful! I could see his smile even under a mask. Josh at the front desk was very informative and wonderful with explaining the day's cost and my treatment plan for me going forward. He even let me know about my other payment options I didn't know about previously! They did everything they could to make sure I was taken care of when I left and I will 100% recommend them to everyone!

I came here for a root canal over a year ago because my regular dentist didn't do them in-office, and I liked Illini Smiles so much that I switched over completely. The staff are friendly, billing practices and insurance acceptance are simple and straightforward, and can squeeze you in for emergency appointments. The hygienists are thorough and personable. And the dentists are excellent. I have bad teeth and have moved around a lot, so I've seen my fair share of dentists. Illini Smiles provides the best all-around dental service I've ever received.

I have been afraid of dentists since I was 5. I have always limited my visits through out the years. My first trip to Illini Smiles was amazing. The entire staff was friendly, understanding and just plain nice. I was treated with respect and compassion. The dentist was so gentle I hardly felt her working on me. I actually got excited and looked forward to my next visit. BEST DENTISTS AND STAFF IN CHAMPAIGN!!!
