Dr. Hutchison is always interested in my well being. He can add humor to my concerns to help lighten the mood. This is my third time with Stephanie. She is very caring. I really like them both. 6 months later and I still like Stephanie's work. I got to meet Dr. Nielsen also. I will continue coming here.

I feel compelled to respond honestly about my experience. I’ve been seeing Dr. Doug Hutchison since 1994. I’ve never had a bad experience with the office staff and have always been treated professionally and with respect.
Fast forward to Monday’s appointment with Dentistry at 801 Grand. My hygienist was delightful and I enjoyed meeting her. Dr. Hutchison was his usual; friendly and thorough in discussing the status of my dental work. I felt comfortable and trusted his opinion.
Upon checking out, I stopped at the front desk to confirm my next appointment with Dr. Hutchison, exchanged pleasantries, and left the office. I was just getting ready to walk out of 801 when I saw a gal briskly walking my way calling my name. Not only was I surprised but when she found me and said she needed me to come back to the office I was puzzled. Apparently, she suddenly had discovered that I didn’t have dental insurance and bluntly stated I needed to pay for my visit in full right then and there. Had she politely indicated before I left that there was a new policy established and that patients needed to pay in full at the time of their visit, I would’ve kindly obliged. But to get up, leave her desk and the office to come and find me after I had left the office and about to leave the building, I was taken aback. I felt as if she were saying, “it’s now or never” that the office would get paid for the service. After I went back she told me they give a discount to anyone who pays in full (which I did by the way) and then even reminded me that I was given a courtesy discount once before (as if I had forgotten).
All in all, I felt it was rude behavior to track me down once I had left the office. This was the first time I’d ever experienced anything like this in the 25 years I’d been to my dental office. Dr. Hutchison is a professional as well as his staff and when I finally did get to leave the office I felt it was a tacky gesture on the part of the office staff showing no class!

Dr Nielsen was amazing! He is super friendly and did an incredible job with my crowns. Pain control was better than I could have hoped for. Couldn’t be happier! His staff was all so friendly and welcoming. His assistant made the temporary crowns quickly and they look great. This was the best experience I’ve had at a dentist. I’ve been putting this off for years, but he was encouraging and positive and I am glad I didn’t wait any longer.
