Veranda Dentistry

I’ve been living in Texas for the last 27 years and recently moved back to Iowa. I was concerned about finding a dentist that I liked. After my first visit to Veranda Dental, I can say I’ve found the best! Dr Johnson and his staff are amazing. The office atmosphere is very pleasant and I loved everyone there…so friendly and considerate. Best cleaning ever from Melissa, and chatting with her and Dr Johnson was quite fun! I’m sold!

I had a root canal done at Veranda Dentistry in 2018. Last night, the crown made for that tooth snapped in half eating soft food. Since Veranda Dentistry stopped accepting our insurance, we switched providers and so I had my new dentist take a look. Well, it's going to cost me OVER $1500 to have what Veranda screwed up fixed.
The root canal provided at Veranda was done poorly and before I can get the crown fixed, guess what, I have to get another root canal! In the xrays of my tooth, you can clearly see that they did not fill the space fully and evidently this can cause problems. In addition to that, they found other issues with this tooth related to the root canal.
So, I now have half a tooth in the back of my mouth. And I can't even get a consultation for two more weeks. Once I do that, they'll schedule me to have the actual procedure. And then back to my dentist to have the crown made and placed.
In a normal situation, I would follow up with Veranda and pitch a fit. However, Chad Johnson our previous provider, decided to speak very poorly about myself and my wife to other people in our community. You can probably see that below on another review. Since I am clearly not welcome at this office, and probably never was, I will GLADLY pay to have someone do the work that knows that they're doing.
The question does arise, did Chad Johnson make poor decisions regarding me and my family's health intentionally? The fact that he's telling people we're mentally deranged definitely has me wondering. Wouldn't trust this scum bag to work on my teeth if he was the last dentist on the planet.
I googled whether having a root canal twice was common. Here is what I found: "If that infected area isn't completely cleaned out or properly sealed, it may cause pain again as infection grows. If that happens, a second or maybe even a third root canal may be necessary. These scenarios of root canals aren't common, but they do happen."

Dr. Chad is awesome he did a great job on my dental work and is super funny. Awesome office everyone is so friendly and helpful.

Dr. Johnson ensures that I am involved in my care and have all the information I need to make good decisions. Very satisfied with the quality of care as well as the whole experience with every interaction with Veranda.

The staff there are caring, kind, and very professional. They made me feel comfortable and confident that I will get the best treatment possible. I definitely recommend you give Veranda a try.

I always have a wonderful visit at Veranda Dentistry! I can always count on Heather to do a great job cleaning my teeth and I always look forward to a visit from Dr Chad!!

For as much as I fret about the dentist trips Dr Chad always does a great job managing the typical anxiety. They minimize any discomfort with their tools and techniques.

Veranda's in-house insurance allows me to have my teeth cleaned every 6 months and includes x-rays, an exam by the dentist, and fluoride treatments. I used to skip cleanings because I couldn't afford them! Now I don't worry about tooth loss and gum disease, and I feel that I've achieved whole-body health. The staff is fantastic as well!

The staff from the front desk to the chair was exceptional. They truly care for the patient. Dr. Chad was approachable and had great comrodery with his team. I felt at home even though this was my first visit to Veranda Dentistry. I will continue my dental care with Veranda!

Visits to the dentist are normally not a fun or positive experience, however, Dr. Chad and his team make it pleasant and memorable. Thank you for your professionalism, smiles, great attitudes and outstanding dental care.
