Veranda Dentistry is a place to go for the latest dental care. They have top-of-the-line care for all your needs and a staff that is second to none. Dr. Chad always gives you options for your dental care. Patients appreciate that the staff is very professional and suggests the best care for their dental needs. When discussing the cost of treatments, they listen to their patients' concerns and offer alternatives if available.
Despite the positive reviews, one negative review stands out. A patient had a root canal done at Veranda Dentistry in 2018, and the crown made for that tooth snapped in half eating soft food. Since Veranda Dentistry stopped accepting their insurance, they switched providers and had their new dentist take a look. The root canal provided at Veranda was done poorly, and before they could get the crown fixed, they had to get another root canal. The patient had to pay over $1500 to have what Veranda screwed up fixed.
Overall, Veranda Dentistry is a great dental clinic that provides exceptional dental care. Patients can expect to receive the best treatment from a caring and professional staff.

I have had some bad luck with dentists in the past and I lost a lot of trust with them. My brother suggested that I go see Dr. Johnson and I can say that he is always honest with me and provides me with all options for my dental work. He has earned my trust and I would highly recommend him to anyone. He has a very friendly staff as well. Everyone is always cheerful and welcoming.

I moved to Veranda and after four appointments, I can say I’m very happy with the move. Melissa is meticulous and thorough when cleaning, and goes out of her way to ensure I’m comfortable. The dentists are excellent, high energy, and bring good humor to their profession.

My mother needed a new set of false teeth. Every step was carefully explained. Everything went well, other than problems created by the derecho. The new teeth were made in Cedar Rapids. Mom has her new teeth and she is very happy. I should mention that my mother is 88 years old. The patience of everyone at Veranda Dentistry was much appreciated.

Recent surgery went very well. Implants are in place with no complications to date. Really impressed with Dr. Johnson and his team there in Pleasant Hill. Would recommend to all!

My husband had closed a chapter in his life and has since been afraid to go to the dentist. His consequences he is living with and the poor care of his teeth... and he started getting terrible tooth pain which was evidently going to follow. We called around a lot of different places including Primary Health and Iowa City College of Dentistry and we just weren't able to get him in right away. We had to be put on a reservation For if somebody cancelled. We didn't know if there was an infection in the tooth or what. A guy that works with him mention his wife, a sweet lady that works at this place in pleasant hill and before you know it we were in there that afternoon. He doesn't have health insurance and he's had terrible experiences as a kid with the dentist. Everything that could have kept him from going has. But this afternoon particularly, they had him seen right away. They were able to remove several teeth from the top and the bottom, I think seven in total. He had X-rays done and an exam and these teeth taken out all within an hour. He was so emotional when it was all done he hugged the dentist. He is the father of two beautiful girls and I'm blessed to be the mother. His health is everything to us. We depend on him so much and he makes sure that we don't want or need for anything. He really deserves the opportunity to go in there and not be judged and be able to make a plan and take care of these prior commitments that have caused him so much and so many problems in the past. Later on that day we got a call and an offer for him to go in and have his gums cleaned. And this was an offer extended to him for reasons unbeknownst to me. I'm so grateful and thankful and all he could tell me was that this dentist really just knew what they were doing. They were in and out and made it a quick comfortable process. He will definitely be going back for future care. I would recommend this place to anybody!

Literally the best dentist I have ever been to! Front desk was super kind and friendly! Got me in right away after I called for a tooth emergency and pulled a tooth same day! So happy with my results! I absolutely recommend everyone who loves great service and staff with the greatest bedside manner to come to this place!

Our whole family loves Dr. Johnson. His office combines a warm and welcoming atmosphere with the latest in dental technology. Our entire family and even our 2 year old have always felt comfortable seeing anyone on the staff. It's palpable that the entire staff continues their education and stays current on the latest in dentistry. We've been going for nearly 8 years and have always had a 1st rate experience. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

I have a really bad phobia of doctors and needles. This place is awesome for someone like me. They educate you every step of the way. They don't force anything on you, everything is your decision. It's every person who works there is like that. I would never want to go to the doctor or dentist. But this place makes me wanna go. The people who work there go outta their way to make you comfortable and happy. Plus they have all the newest technology right there in their office. I recommend this dentist to everyone.

My hygienist and dentist are awesome. However I questioned why I was charged periodontal cleaning when that was resolved by 2015. In 2014 /2015 extra time cleaning and laser technology was used. By the next year I no longer needed the extra service but they continued to charged me and my insurance at a higher rate - no extra service, same high rate and copay seems like a scam to me. Integrity and honesty should be the foundation of a Christian business - I will go elsewhere

Dr. Chad is an amazing guy & doctor! Does great work and puts up with this gal that can be a big baby. He calls and checks up on you after a major procedure, which is a nice touch. All the ladies that work in the office are so nice and welcoming. Appreciate all you guys! Keep up the great work!
