Dr. Billings and his staff are wonderful. I have TMJ and Sleep apnea. I was in constant pain, my jaw would pop and hurt and I was fatigued everyday and I thought this was just my normal. Dr. Billings talked to me and suggested a day appliance for my TMJ and a night appliance for my Sleep apnea and TMJ. I have been wearing for appliances for 6 weeks. I follow the protocol and made life style changes and with the help and encouragement of Dr. Billings and his staff I feel terrific. I am pain free and fell refreshed in the morning no more feeling tried. I feel like a new person. I can not thank Dr. Billings and his staff enough for everything.

Some people will love this dentist, probably men. He gets you in and out fast. However, this practice is NOT for patients with special needs, and by special needs, I mean if you wanted to be treated like a human. If you want someone to take their time and explain things, or have pain management issues, or want a gentle touch, or need someone with a caring personality, find someone else. Dr. Billings works fast and furiously. His large staff of very nice women all seem intimidated by him, which is just terrible because they are the only ones who get to speak with Dr. Billings: The assistant gets you trussed up in the chair with all the various gags in your mouth so that when he comes in the room, you are utterly reliant upon them to intercede on your behalf. Having been there first for the exam, I knew this about the practice and so arrived a full 30 minutes early so I could speak to the assistant who would be there during my appt. She either didn't tell him or he didn't care because absolutely everything I was trying to prevent came up. Nor do they understand the role of nitrous oxide in this office - they seem to think it is to get you through your numbing shots and then bye-bye. It is fair to say I argued with the assistant about this, with me losing the argument. Nitrous is not for pain, it is for anxiety and anxiety doesn't go away after the shots - not all patients are the same and this practice has no interest in the feelings and needs of individuals. They are not above embarrassing you into making you compliant, but what are they thinking? One cannot drill someone who IS NOT NUMB. He ignored my hand signals and grunts and wouldn't stop drilling until I literally tried to slide out of the chair. He couldn't hide his exasperation at my sensitivity and tsked and harumphed while angrily giving me more novocaine shots. All the other reviews on here seem to be trying to prove that he's good because of his work with children, but to me that just proves the reviews are fake - I cannot imagine a universe where his style of work would be considered appropriate, let alone desirable, for children.

My experience with Dr. Terry is nothing short of great. His office and staff make you feel completely comfortable during your visit. I am currently one of his patients suffering of TMJ. His business incorporates the newest technology and practices for treatment of this painful condition. I would Recommend Dr. Terry Billings to anyone who is looking for a great Dentist in the New Orleans Area.

The problem I encountered was their time management I was instructed several times to arrive 10 minutes early. They were behind and I waited over 45 minutes, I was there nearly two hours for a teeth cleaning and did not get a chance to talk to billing which I really wanted to. I was nearly late for a meeting I had arranged after my appointment. I felt there my time and expectations were not respected.
